Ok so u know just playing some arena and enjoying my game but oh no i got disconnected cuz of my crappy internet. Well what everyone else would think is, “stinks that it disconnected me so i’ll just start another one” well guess what? YOUR BANNED. I MEAN WTF 343 U’VE MADE A GREAT GAME BUT I CANT PLAY SINCE IM BANNED FOR DISCONNECTING. I SHOULDNT SUFFER FOR WHAT I HAVENT DONE. ITS LIKE BLAMING SOME RANDOM PERSON FOR DOING A ROBBERY WHEN THERE CLEARLY NOT THE VICTIM. I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY U BROUGHT THIS SYSTEM IN BUT C’MON FIX IT FOR GODS SAKE.
Most of the time it’s people quitting which sucks for many more players than just you. If anything the ban should be more harsh.
Ok the reason why they can not do anything about it is because most people are actually quitting like Rainin Needles pointed out. The system is in the game for those who actually quit and they can not limit it to just those people I am sure there is not a way to deter man who is quitting on purpose and who is not so I am sorry but those of us with bad internet unfortunately are out of luck. : /

Actually, they can do something about it. They can allow us to re-join the game that the player lost connection to and continue playing in that match like Counter Strike: Global Offensive does.
Theres a reason for banning disconnects. If disconnects weren’t a banable offense then players who want to quit games would only have to shut off their router or disconnect the cable from the back of the xbox and not worry about anything.
If the internet disconnects though it should allow you to join right back since you are the same person and it wont hurt the game as bad. MANY other games do this and it works great.
I’m surprised I haven’t been banned yet, I’d some times have an issue where I can’t exit the game lobby so I have to quit the game as soon as it starts

“More harsh” you know what this solves “nothing” a quitter will always be a quitter you can’t change that unless they actually want to play the game and not enjoy it. Making it more harsh will cause the loss of more players not playing and having them join/play other games. It may sound good at first but then you would be playing the same people at least 3 times within a week and if worse every other game.
that is a big issue if you drop connection you get banned, but if they remove the ban for people who drop connection people will just unplug the cable to their xbox. Same issue that was in the older call of dutys (they finally fixed it) yes they are two different issues
Halo is for bans
Call of duty was for saving stats(doing bad just unplug your router stats won’t save)
no matter what they do people will try to abuse it.

My friend had the exact same problm . He contacted 343 in anger maybe slipped a few curses here and there, anyway they upped his ban to 24hrs!!! No joke!! What are you playing at 343 and also team shotty snipers betrayals should be switched off. I got banned for like 9 mins or something Cuz I had team mates walking in my line of fire!!!

LOL! Talk about zero tolerance, they are just asking to lose customers. Yes he was being rude but if you aren’t the mature one you lose a customer this is a business without more customers the business collapses. This is a very flawed system that actually promotes negativity, people could actually start acting like jerks and run into the line of fire or vehicles of teammates. I mean how would the ban system know the difference right?
