The coating for getting 152 does not look like the coating we were promised. Please fix this coating to be more in line with the weapon coatings that were given at the same time and the coating that was shown in the screenshots. What we got is extremely disappointing for all the effort it took to get from your most diehard fans.
This is not the first post I made about this here or my first time talking about it and it won’t be the last. This affects a small group of the halo community and it will continue to be buried by ( admittedly) more important issues for the game at large. Nonetheless this is important for the people it does affect and it needs to reach 343 eyes.
To be specific, we were shown an elegant looking coating that was a white/bright silver with bright red shiny accents with minimal battle damage and a black under armor base. What we got was a dull grey metal, with a dull maroon accent and a kinda black under armor. And the whole thing is very dirty with lots of scratches. The weapons look great. They are vibrant white, black and red, all shiny. And the armor looks nothing like it in comparison.
I’ve not seen a single person happy with the coating we got. From everyone who has commented on all posts I’ve seen here, on Reddit and on Twitter, it’s unanimous. The armor coating does not look like they showed us it would, it does not look like it was worth the effort when better skins are sold in shop for 20 dollars, and it just looks basic, plain, lackluster and disappointing. The weapon skins look great. The emblem looks ok, not great, not bad, but just ok. The biggest issue with the emblem is that the color options are just awful. Please add some actual good colors for that. Give us vibrant reds, blues, greens, black. Not this highlighter yellow, lime green, tropical pink looking stuff we have now.
Anyone in this situation speak out about the armor coating and voice your opinion on it. Anyone who has seen the coating but may not directly be affected, give your support as well. I wish I could post screenshots to make it easy to compare here but halo waypoint won’t allow such a thing. Please keep the voice up for our small group of 152s. I don’t want to take away from the more important issues but I don’t want this to be ignored either. Thanks for reading
