FIVE hours, Four wins

This is what the current challenge system is doing to the game.
Either you have players leave to put you at a severe disadvantage,
or you have players not caring about the objective.

I don’t care that it’s casual. Ranked isn’t any better in my experience.

Please remove PvP requirement so I can just get it done in the bot playlist where I don’t have to care about people leaving or being AFK.

Then you have the challenges that require you to get X wins…

I’m lucky I had a bunch of time to play this past week to finish the weekly. Seems like the win rate for most people in this game is atrocious because if the challenges and sbmm. It is for me at least.

Yup I think challanges should be able to be completed in bot matches. Even better in solo play where you are the only real player.

Bots in halo are fun to play against. I see no reason to be forced to do certain stuff in live matches.

I undestand that completion against players is a challange, but it certainly isnt fun and most definetly it isnt fun for other players.

Another thing that is a thing now are afk players farming play match challange… this is like red dead online pvp… terrible man. I hope they can find a way to kick or straight ban them. Well thi behaviour supports that play agaist bots. They would afk progress there instead of live matches…

Isn’t it weird that only your team lose games because they’re doing challenges and never the enemy team?

I feel you mate. As soon as I started the weekly ultimate challenge I lost way too many games.

The problem was quickplay for me. You have a small team, if anyone leaves for whatever reason, it get’s pretty hard to win the match. And even if you have a full team, they have to follow the objective of the mode or don’t run solo into a group of three enemies.

My suggestion for you is, to play BTB.
You got the chaos of 5 people playing slayer during CTF and if you are lucky you have 4 others that try to capture the flag and win the game too.
I wish you strong nerves and the best of luck.

Yeah finished my weeklies today, so I have today and tomorrow to get all 17

It certainly feels like it, but I have won occasionally.

Yeah of course, it is possible to win in quickplay. I just feel the chances in BTB are higher, because there are more people. And more people mean, more people might know what they do.

You know it is F2P when you see the actions of some players. Not protecting the flag, AFK, confusing team mates with enemies, jump around with the flag in hand without returning, not jumping when a vehicle is about to collapse with them, not stealing enemy verhicles when they stand right next to them, blindly running into 4 enemies with an almost empty gun, …

I’ve never seen so much stupid behaviour in any Halo MP before.

I dont have problems to complete them myself.
For wins I go to ranked.

But when I am up to some challange I am simply not playing for win or team support and this mechanic by itself is bad. Of course enemy team loses due to same reasons.

But in the end this is still a bad mechanic.

Yep finished my weeklies yesterday than bam 17 wins to complete the final challenge. Was able to get 7 last night in a couple hours. Got a little streaky in ranked and won 5 in a row. Chances of winning all 17 without playing all night was not possible. Pretty disappointing.

Going to be honest it really does seem like they built the game to entice players to no life it. Ever hear the AI say “Come on spartan you cant end on that one” or something similar after losing a game. Impossible challenges and AI convincing you to try and play more. Pretty unhealthy strategy by 343 to get players to no life the game.

Edit: or spend money to swap challenges to complete them faster. Even after completing everything though 17 wins is no joke. Takes some skill and luck.

If you want to complete all the challenges, you have to be willing to play all of the MP suite. People shouldn’t expect to be completionists while only wanting to play a small slice of the game

By your logic you should also be getting alot of easy wins since players on the other team are quitting, AFKing, and going for challenges too.

How do they have challenges though if not pvp oriented? I don’t think that’s the problem, it’s more the fact you can’t fine tune what you’re playing and chlalenges are the ONLY way to level up besides your first 6 games. There needs to be a separate level up system that rewards you on performance. Challenges should be complementary to another system like any other game, not the sole means to leveling.

Sorry, I’m at 9 wins in 12 matches. The likelihood of your teammates not trying to win is just as likely as the opposing team. So the average should eventually work out.

Yep been saying this in a few threads already. I’ve played quite a bit of Infinite and I almost never see people outright throwing the match in favor of Challenges. Quitting at the start, now that’s another matter.

And as a few people in this thread already said, it’s funny how people seem to claim that things are specifically stacked against them only, so they always lose, whether it’s bad teammates, glitches, bad controls, bad net code, etc etc. It’s never their own fault, and the game always helps other players and hurts them. Interesting conspiracy theory…

what kind of stupid idea is that? There is litteraly no reason to force PVP for cosmetic rewards when there are pretty advanced bots in the game.

The time investment for challenges is so incredibly unbalanced at the moment. Let’s say most people win 50% of the time. That’s 34 games being played for the weekly ultimate challenge as a rough average. Keep in mind this is AFTER wading through the time consuming regular weekly challenges to get to the ultimate challenge.

Unfortunately because their is no incentive to win ie more xp it’s pot luck on wether you get a team that needs wins as well or a team just doing challenges. Until the xp system is fixed the challenge system is just hoping you get the game type and weapon spawns or wins you need.

And that’s why you should stay out of casinos. Because that’s how statistics can turn on you. You think your luck has to change but it doesn’t . You can keep on losing, and losing.

My experience in Halo has been that match making can be tough right after release, and twice as tough if you’re lone wolfing it. Hang in there.

If you play MP solo, you may want to group up with friends or players. You can use the Xbox Group feature to try and find more people who want to win and not just cross challenges off.
