-First Video Better be a ViDoc-

That’s one thing Bungie certainly did right: ViDocs.

Sure little trailers and videos appearing were exciting, but ViDocs are what makes the wait for Halo games so EXCITING and bearable lol

Other franchises have tried to use ViDocs since Bungie made them popular with Halo, but none really feel quite as epic as Halo ViDocs. 343i needs to continue this tradition and the next piece of info we get should definitely come from a ViDoc that has multiple people talking throughout the video showing off gameplay and the such.

+1 for Halo ViDocs!

Well they recorded a vidoc back in November and i’m hoping that they release it soon and that it’s simialar to the campaign vidoc for Reach.

Yeah I love nice long ViDocs with loads of information =)

I believe one is already in the making since November.

I just don’t want them teasing stuff that won’t actually be in the game. I remember they were showing off some tech about how much better the AI was… sure it was better, but I still don’t think I’ve ever seen the enemy really make effective use of cover.

Also, one of the Bungie podcasts they teased some gamemodes that were never introduced. Showing off some gameplay is fine, but don’t make promises, please don’t “promise” things if you aren’t going to deliver them.

343i’s thing are BTS. So I’m sure we’ll get some mulitplayer and campaign bts’s.

Links to where it says they were recording a ViDoc back in November?

Also, I completely disagree about the Campaign ViDoc. That was the only ViDoc I didn’t watch before Reach came out because of the damn spoilers in it… Personally, I don’t think they should release ANYTHING about the Campaign aside from minor details. The people who buy Halo only for the Campaign would still buy it without any piece of info… Anyone else buys Halo for the longevitiy it has.

^So in either situation I think it would be optimal for all parties if they didn’t reveal crap about the Campaign. Imagine playing through the Sabre mission without knowing about flying in space?! That would’ve been LEGIT!

Yes. They should show stuff thatll be cool during their advertising campaign, but keep stuff we’ll fall in love with secret and ours to find.

I really loved the Video Documents . They were very informational and they supplied us with information and gave us a look behind the scenes of Bungie. I hope they do a teases like they did with Halo 3 with Et tu Brutes?

Let us just hope. I do plan to see some new figurines on January 24, 2012.

That would make sense, now wouldn’t it, OP? Tomorrow, as many a topics has assured us, is January 17th (1.17/117) I think for them to release a Vidoc style, Halo Waypoint BTS video is to be expected, but not hoped for. It should run 8-10 minutes with information along with minor/major (depending on how you look at its importance) game play footage. Then, perhaps at the Superbowl in February, start the real Halo 4 marketing campaign, a la Halo 3. I honestly think it makes sense. The reasons being are that, One- They’ve told us TWICE now, i believe, that they have been working on a BTS since November. And Two- We’ve had a confirmation that Re:Creations will be showing off licensed Halo 4 merchandise at the London Toy Fair on the 24th and 25th of this month.
What do you guys think?

Vidocs are awesome.

Campaign vidocs are more like bts, I want to see a Campaign Trailer or a general vidoc that showcases the entire game and its progress…

agreed, i LOVE ViDocs

i watch the reach ones over and over, they’re just so entertaining

Okokokokokok thinking about it… A ViDoc like “Et Tu Brute” but with the new enemies would be AMAZING so we can have some backstory going into who we’re fighting (unless it’s expressed throughout the game a la Halo 2). That’s really the only way I’d love to see something about the Campaign

lmfao same here… I used to watch the Halo 3 ViDocs like every night on my xbox before going to sleep ;b

I love Vidocs. I remember freaking out about Et tu Brute and reach’s Carnage Carnivale.

I’d love to see a ViDoc as the next video. I like all the information the developers tell about their new engine. I also like to see how the game looks in the early development stages, makes you appreciate what you get in the end. But I really don’t know should they go straight with ViDoc or have an in-engine trailer first. Maybe it’s just me, but it’d be weird to see the first glimpse of the engine in a ViDoc.
