I was teh excited.
I said “Well damn” because I had been telling people for years there would never be a halo 4. Then 343 decided to shove my foot in my mouth.
I saw a leaked picture of some MS press conference summary ‘card’ a few hours before the show. So the first image I saw was John leaning out of his tube over Cortana.
I was all, ‘Huh. Okay then.’
Honestly?
I don’t remember, but I do remember the feeling. I remember being cautiously optimistic. Like having seen a wrapped christmas present early and thinking the shape looks like something I wanted but wasn’t quite sure. I really hope H4 turns out better than that christmas did.
I was watching E3 live on a netbook, I was sitting in an Xbox LIVE party with some friends and when the guy hit the stage and said they were leaving us with something, I thought nothing of it, but I watched any way.
When I saw the orangey stuff, my first thought was, Gears of War, has to be, then it got all intense and of course, my friend who was seconds ahead was already screaming ZOGMGRTGtjhtp g5gh5tji HALO 44444! thopt.
Then we all just screamed at the loudest tone known by man, then we all just waited for it to be uploaded to YouTube and re-watched, I even went on to Halo 3 and finished the last level on Legendary to play the teaser trailer just after the Legendary ending finished.
Oh great, another reach.

I remember this, it was on some versions of the Xbox website saying Halo 4 and a picture of Chief & Cortana, at first I thought it was a massive fake, heck, even my mum found out about it and showed me, with the rumours of Halo CEA about, Halo 4 was carefully hidden, I wasn’t expecting it at all after CEA was announced.

Driving Home…
Get a call from an old friend who I played H3 with,
tells me Halo 4 is coming out.
I don’t believe him since he’s a joker.
He persists,
I get home,
See the trailer,
Scream and jump for joy.
I was at school and saw the trailer on my phone, and i got the teacher to play the trailer on the projector, and the whole class just went giddy, apart from the CoD nerds lol :L

The first thing concerning Halo 4 after its announcement I said was a day or so after the announcement at E3 in an Xbox Live to my friend. It was something along the lines of “You already heard about the announcement of Halo 4”. What comes to the first thing I said after the announcement, can’t really remember. I talked a lot of other stuff between the trailer and the first Halo 4 related comment.
I said YES! very quietly then searched a bunch of websites for Halo 4.
I saluted then did a three shot salute as I played Tribute loudly outside my house,I may have killed a pigeon and I may have had the neighbours phone the police but it was worth it.
When I saw legendary ending of Halo 3 in 2007 and figured I shouldn’t kid myself and admit it was going to be made eventually. In knowing these my words were sweet and simple;
