First Person?
I have an Idea that the three spartan’s that you could control in the first Halo Wars could be played in first person in this upcoming Halo Wars. Than for the other factions like the covenant you could play as a elite, or brute.The Spartans could also allow the game to be played in spit-screen as one person is controlling the army while the other is running around as a spartan, elite, or brute.
Remember: It’s just an idea
The only other game to do that was a massive flop. So don’t get your hopes up.
I don’t think it would work very well. Interesting idea, but an RTS is an RTS, if you wanna get an FPS experience, you might as well play Halo 5

Lol. They’ll never stop asking for it until gameplay is released and the dev completely confirms that there will be no FPS mode.
The same thing happened with Halo Wars back when it was announced. Non-RTS players/FPS fanboys were always asking for FPS gameplay… They just don’t get it.

I heard that early in development they were thinking about having it where the Spartans can be played by people who are friends with the person controlling the army. I heard they just join the game and they can play as the Spartans. This would be very cool, especially if they added waypoints/ markers for the people playing as the spartans so they know where the person controlling the army wants them to go.
It would be interesting but it won’t happen
in RTS? I dont think it could work. Besides i dont think the gameplay could look that good up close and it wouldnt really be useful either.

And it’s something that Moo has discussed before. We all have. And we’ve gotten tired of repeating the same old while treading lightly. So he was blunt.

That’s probably because this is a necro from seven months ago and this thread should be locked because the discussion died seven months ago.

Me and several others are usually right in there explaining why FPS in RTS doesn’t make sense.
There are a quite a few. I’m pretty sure the threads that received any attention also got ours.
No excuse to be rude, true, but sometimes blunt words can be of use

Sorry mate, maybe a spinoff campaign expansion for Halo 5 that’s like 5 missions long called “Halo: Red Team” I made a thread on that a while back but it’s probably been buried under thousands of other threads.
It amazes me how people think first person would work in a RTS game if u were in first person who is gonna lead the rest of the amry?? And how are u gonna know which base or amry u have is being attacked and if you’re in first person it’s gonna take forever to get across the map. Need I say more? When are people gonna get it? It’s bad in RTS the developer has already confirmed no first person.
