I don’t think it would hurt to add a first person view for the vehicles that, if the player wishes to do so, can be toggled off and on in the game option menu. I could imagine driving the Warthog and smashing into other players while driving all out or manning the turret and going guns blazing, maybe even driving the cockpit of a Covenant Wraith.
I am not sure how well it would translate for some vehicles.
I prefer the third person myself.

That’s what I’ve been thinking about once I posted this thread. I thought it would be good for the warthog since it is the most viable option alongside the Mongoose.
Just make it toggleable between first and third person viewing.
I don’t think first-person view would work very well for driving/flying. Vehicles in Halo have worked well because they have been so easy to pick up and learn, first person requires different controls(to get maximum use out of it) and limits your field of view. First person drivers will always be at a disadvantage. The Hybrid first/third person views are something I have always appreciated in Halo.
That said, I definitely think there is room for more first person seats in certain situations. I could see first person views for passengers in the Warthog, Mongoose, Revenant, Spectre, Prowler, Falcon, or Hornet.
Other first person positions could be Falcon gunners(which was already the case) and I would also recommend that scorpion/wraith turrets be controlled remotely(in first person) ala newer Battlefield games. The open turret in Halo 3/Reach/4 are basically asking to be sniped, but at the same time I like driver/gunner cooperation.
how does it work for the ghost?
Toggleable sounds good
I wanted it since Halo CE, but it’s better to be toggleable.
Honestly, I would more than likely use third person 90% of the time but, I have to say a first person view would be awesome too. Just imagine getting a splatter and watching the guy bonce of the windshield right in front of your face, that would be hilarious.
Cool idea bro
