First Person or Halo Wars Style?

Yo guys,

Do you all prefer the first person Halo games, or Halo Wars style/ Spartan Assault/Strike style? I’m really curious as to what your opinions are. Personally, I like first person a lot more, but Halo Wars style is pretty neat. It’s a lot more difficult though for sure (for me at least).

Imine a game that fused the two styles. You would be able to run the entire battle, but switch to controlling individual units to get up close and personal to carry out very detailed strategies and movements. This would be really cool.

I prefer first person, I fell 3rd person is a little harder to control

I think they are all good, I enjoy all of them, but they are all for different kinds of players.

obviously the fps, since its the way Halo has been in its best years and thats how it should be.

That’d be so freaking cool.

Same. Well, Halo Wars is more like 53rd person lol

I like both styles. But, Halo has been my favorite FPS, and that is all, First Person Shooter, for Halo.

It would be cool to do both if they did it right

Growing up as a kid I always wanted the zoomed out style but I’ve since grown accustomed to first person. I really like the feel it gives you: it more immerses you into the world and makes you better identify with the character you’re playing. It’s more “okay, how am I going to get through this?” Versus “okay, my character needs to get through this”.

Geez, that’s an amazing way of putting it!

I was just thinking they probably didn’t put 3rd person view because of the shielding in the game during tests. They probably tried it and it never played out well.
