Idk if it’s gonna be default if every is, but i’d love first person to be used in vehicles as an option. Any thoughts?

Halo CE had first person in the passenger of the Warthog so I could see it as a possibility. If they could add it as a customizable setting for custom games, that would be amazing and a great addition to making Halo have Infinite possibilities.

Yeah, especially air vehicles i’m excited if they add that option.
I don’t see why not. You’d be at a disadvantage because your awareness and cone of vision would be decreased but it’s nice to have the option for the people who’d like that.
This topic has been popping up ever since the H2-to-H3 days on Bungie forums and my opinion remains unchanged: No.
You would either force people to FP while the entire series (except for CE and the Falcon sections in Reach) was TP in vehicles. People will not like that.
Or:
You would make it possible for people to have different views, one of which is really limiting and give people a disadvantage. That might seem like an option, but it is still splitting up players core mechanics and that should never happen. I understand it gives a nice cinematic feeling but I don’t want it to be part of core gameplay.
Passengers on the Pelican and the Scorpion are in first person too.
But one can only wonder how a player would be able to see behind in the tank or simply any Covenant vehicle when I see the screen for the Ghost.

Like i said, that they should add an option for it, and if anyone wants limited FOV in matchmakings more power to you, probably looking for a challenge.

Well it’ll probably be like battlefield FP, but the covenant vehicles?
I don’t think it’ll happen either way, but if it did I’d want them to bring the Forza Horizon sensibilities to it. Sometimes first person driving is just horrible (*cough, Far Cry.)
Literally if it becomes too big a deal in affecting core gameplay, just limit it to customs only, by choice. The option would be nice in my opinion. In theory as a passenger in first person you would have better accuracy by distance, but unstable aiming becauae of the hog’s movement, third person would offer stable firing options, with slightly decreased accuracy being zoomed out and what not. More options, the merrier I say.
I’d like to see it added as an option. It be interesting to see first person from the inside of a Banshee. Personally I’ve found driving in first person in land vehicles to be very difficult, unless it’s a tank.
Sounds like it could be cool
It could be cool. but something about third person vehicles is just so very halo

They use a screen but usually no camera is found except for the Banshee I guess.
Imagine trying to drive a warthog in first person. Youd get motion sickness and want to puke.
Sure, right after we give Vehicles an ammo limit.
There will also have to be an ammo pickup.
Yeah, it’s a pretty cool idea. I’m onboard with it
it would be interesting to see but i believe it would lead to more crashes into trees and rocks and stuff
I’m honestly fine with this. Probably make it where you press up on d pad to change the view.
That would be cool just you would not be aware of what is happening around you as long as there is a 3 person mode and a first person.
