First-Person Assassination deaths?

Think of this: You’re walking along and somebody comes up behind you to assassinate you. You lose control and your player stops. You visor looks down to see an energy sword pierce through your chest.

Getting assassinated isn’t very fun. Nobody wants to be assassinated, of course. But, it would be cool to see first-person assassinations where we experience them up close and personal.

Anybody else think this would be a cool idea?

1rs person everything! I just hate it when things bring me to 3rd person when I don’t want or need it. Vehicles should have a view toggle as should the turrets and assassinations.

You probibally don’t think it, but its not just a random decision that developers make. With situations like assassinations and vehicles, first person isn’t the greatest. First person helps when you’re doing precision/fast-twich aiming. But with something like vehicles, it doesn’t help to be in 1st person as awareness is more important. With assassinations it doesn’t matter, because you’re more or less dead anyway. You would barely see anything if it was first person unless they made assassination animations specifically to give you vision of the assassinator. With 3rd person assassinations the developers can put in a myriad of different animations. It would be pretty boring to be laying down face first in 1st person while they twist your neck. Remember, its Halo, not Realism Year ~2560

I do realize that some things are better in third-person. Like driving vehicles. I would not want to drive them in first-person. It would be cool to see it from the first-person point of view, but I wouldn’t prefer it.

The simple to solution to this is that they give the player the option to either have third-person or first-person assassination deaths.

the fact that halo has assassinations to begin with is something you should be satisfied with, even though reach sucked in a lot of ways some of the stuff they did with it really fit perfectly into the franchise.

as far as the first person assassinations go I have to say its a cool concept, but not in any way necessary.

I’m not proposing this idea because I’m not satisfied with assassinations. Also, I’m not proposing this idea as a necessary one. I’m simply saying that it would be cool to see as an option in Halo 4. That is all.
