First look at new Ghost and Banshee

The new Locke Armor trailer not only shows off Locke looking like a bad-Yoink- fighting Covenant, but shows up the new banshee and ghost in Halo 5!

[- YouTube

](- YouTube)The Banshee is right off the bat, starting off the trailer and again around the 0:16 mark then continues to appear for the next ten or so seconds

The Ghost appears around the 0:37 mark

We also see something similar to ODST’s VISR mode at 0:27

The two new vehicles look really cool, I’m glad to see that they’re finally updating the models a bit again. They have some interesting lights on them as well as other details, and their shapes are slightly more bulbous and different.

However, I’m really disappointed to see them reusing the Halo 4 Elites and armour. The Halo 2 Anniversary ones looked so much better, why not stick with them? Unless they’re planning on using both, with the Halo 2 Elites being the Arbiter’s forces, and the others being the Remnant forces, then consider me somewhat unhappy.

Oh my God this was even cooler than the other one. Does this mean destructible environments too?

lets hope both, I like the h2a elites much better. Maybe arbiter’s forces will look more traditional.

Trailer seems pretty cool. Most of the content looks like stuff from H4 with the general designs which I didn’t care much for.

Please 343i, don’t use Halo 4 Elites at all. They are utterly disgusting and look like mindless brutes instead of the honorable and disciplined warriors they really are. Halo 2 Elites were perfect.

I mean, I can’t take this seriously. It looks like Conchita Wurst of the Elites, if you know who that is.

Halo 4 Elites look awesome. HGH.

More detailed models=mindless lizards

Really? They are simply more updated and have a different set of genes compared to the old ones. You know; white and black skin, head shape, mandibles and height. It’s all just that. Also, it’s kinda hard to make elites that you fight against honorable seeing how they’re baddies.

Halo 4 Elites look fine. And it makes sense that they don’t look like the original Covenant Elites since they are members of a spin-off faction, so they’d be outfitted differently. It also looks like we will see the original H2A Elites as allies and the Halo 4 Elites as enemies.

It would be absolutely awful for the canon if Jul and all his followers suddenly started looking like the H2 Elites. Even worse than Chief’s armor change from Halo 3 to Halo 4. Can’t understand why anyone would want that.

It makes sense that they would use the Halo 4 designs since the constituents of Jul’s Covenant faction were picked up on Hesduros.
I predict that the Arbiter’s Swords of Sanghelios faction will more closely resemble the traditional Elites, Grunts and Jackals seen in Bungie’s games.

Wait…was that official?? I’m confused!!

I know that they have a different gene composition and thus a different phenotype. I am fine with that as long as the Arbiter’s faction uses the H2A models. I was just worried about the possibility of them updating the H2A models too and making them look “wrong”.
I guess the H4 models look appropriate considering that they are religious fanatics.
Edit: Also, I have to agree with ronnie42. H2A models are also very detailed but look better in my opinion.

More detailed?, they were badly textured in H4. Visually Reach, Halo 2A had the best looking elites so far due the updated graphics. Bad character design isn’t always the same as what looks more realistic.

I get that, but I really dislike what they’ve done to the Elites’ heads. Their mandibles reach back behind/under their eyes, and literally make up half of their face. When you compare that to Classic Elites, which had much smaller mandibles, it just looks overly odd. If they want to use the different phenotype argument, then they can at least implement a variety in there instead of just sticking to the Halo 4 guys.

Got some more news and hidden secrets guys! Pause at 0:35 and you’ll see another figure in the background. It’s not an elite. It’s a Spartan. Or a marine.

Here’s a screenshot of the humanoid.

It really does look like the Arbiter. Not sure about the humanoid. Could maybe be a jackal too, but it does resemble human armor.
