First Halo Game I Played, Damn Good Way To Start

For a christmas present a bout 5 years back i got a xbox 360, at first i was pretty excited at the notion of having the system as i had lost my passion for gaming in my teens and hadn’t picked up a controller since the old ps2 days, never knowing 480p or what the hell the hdmi port at the back of the console was,i was curious and optimistic at what i could do with the new hardware i now had, t first glance i was happy and nostalgic because all the systems i owned in the past were christmas presents as well, some were Nintendo, some were Sony, even a Sega once, but this was my first journey into Microsoft gaming, and looking back i was so lucky that a game came bundled with it, the game in question was Halo Reach, i always heard of the halo games from friends and co workers, how they beat aliens and how some guy named chief kicked butt, i remembered laughing at myself because i got heated when i thought i got ripped off because i couldn’t find a disk of the game in the box, it wasn’t till i looked at the documents that came with the system that i realized that i had to download it,lol. when i first setup the game and got it going i remember being taken back right away, as never being a fps player before it took awhile to get used to the controls, but when i did i found myself sucked into it immediately, the story, the atmosphere, the joy of killing more than a few grunts and elites along the way, going through the campaign wondering when the green guy named chief would pop up. All in all it took me 4 long nights of grinding as much as i could to beat the game, but a last i felt a sense of dread and sadness as i realized you never really beat the game, you made your go and then you died, even the message from bungie at the end thanking fans for playing was a trip for me as i thought for awhile that i had missed the boat and only discovered this series right at the end, only finding out later that i was at just the beginning of the story,it wasn’t until weeks later when i picked up a copy of halo combat evolved anniversary that i realized who the green guy was,who i was setting up events for, and that the noble team had not gone down in vein, i was happy that since that first time playing halo I’ve gone though the whole series, read the books, watched the movies, and enjoyed the lore the halo universe has to offer. I’ve beaten most of the games on pc, but i still play the copy of halo reach i have on my xbox 360, when i was a child i would take pride on the fact that i could beat ocarina of time in a day, or that i could catch every Pokemon in red and blue, but i had lost that fire at a young age, but halo reach brought me back to losing myself in a world that is so immersive, now i take pride in knowing that i can assassinate an elite from a banshee, it is possible

Noble Team was glad to have you as your first foray into Xbox.
