So I’ve been indulging in Modern warfare remastered for the past month. It was refreshing and nice to get a break from Halo, I even had Halo uninstalled the month break I took from it. Well, in reinstalled it today and I just played my first game aaaaand… I lagged out. Odd. I didn’t lag out a single time when I was playing overwatch, Battlefield, gears of war 4 or MWR. But one game of Halo, and I lag out. People have been saying they never lag out and it has to do with the individuals bad connection- well this is more than a clear sign to me that that’s complete bs. Can’t really say I’m going anywhere with this post, it’s just a shame. I don’t understand why vital issues are being ignored.

Yes, it’s great. I’ve had a couple nights where I stayed up until like 4AM playing, I haven’t done something like that since the Halo 3 days.
Omeggos- I didn’t have to buy it, I got it for free from a license transfer. I wouldn’t have dropped $80 for it. It’ll likely become available by itself, eventually.

Don’t you have to have IW installed to play MWR? If not then I need to find someone to gameshare it ASAP.
Anyways, back on track, I played for the first time in two months for about 3 games and immediately stopped. The aiming system completely screwed me over the entire time, and I lagged out in my second game (which has only ever happened to me twice before in 643 multiplayer matches), and everyone had the armor I grinded a year for because 343 gave it away.
This is pretty sad to hear. I haven’t played Halo 5 for 2 months now due to frustrations with all the common ones people have been complaining about.
Was thinking of trying to fire up the game again—since I’d like to hit SR 152—but looking at this post and others on the forum now, it seems things have gotten worse.

i can count dozens of times where myself, friends, or random people I’ve played with do lag, that’s much better data to gather on server quality over “I lagged out one game”. So yes, servers are hit and miss, but your one game doesn’t add anything of value cuz I’d LOVE to lag out of just one game a day over lagging multiple times, lagging out once is actually pretty good.
to the other random games you mentioned: what is your point? You don’t lag so they’re good? Get on the gears forums and you’ll see differently, even I’ve been kicked out of games, get on the battlefield forums and see the same thing, again even I’ve been kicked. I have no experience with overwatch so that’s one I can’t comment on but I guarantee there will be people complaining on its servers too. People need to understand you’ll have better luck with some games and bad luck with others, so don’t go around acting like “x, x and x games I never lag, it’s only halo” when I can literally do the exact same thing on the games you say you have no issues with.
in short there is no such thing as perfect game servers, it’s going to be hit and miss depending on the player. We can blame 343s servers doing whatever issue you come up with, I’ll find another that does the same or even worse.

You sir are what all forums needs because honestly I am usually really lucky and don’t have issues with servers just with my own connection so I am glad to see that someone understand that sometimes things just don’t work right.

I’m not gonna read all that. When I play 4 other games over the span of a month with no connection issues then lag out my first game back with halo 5, yes, their servers are crap. I’m going back to the games that can be played without a lagout every 20 minutes. You go ahead and keep making excuses for them.

I didn’t make excuses, I merely stated your one game experience is not valid data to have the conclusion that you have. Your choice if you wanna ignore what I said, all the more to show you’re not reasonable.
