Day 1 rating: 4/10. I’ll see about day 2 and 3, but for now I had a really long post about what I felt was wrong, but it is best summarized with a simple statement: This beta feels like an arcade game and not a Halo game. Far too many issues like I said to detail, but the biggest explanation:
Does anyone here remember the changes they made back during Halo 2 to Halo 3 days? Remember how Bungie said they were switching mechanics on the forums day 1? Now… a lot of the forums back then rightly said it was odd it took a second to register the hit, right? It was passed up as a solution to the BXR button combo…
And a lot of people hated it…
Well this was a pretty big leap from MCC (which is the first Halo title on console I started and didn’t finish with its bigger issues we all know about) to the current day. A lot of these weapons? Multiplayer matchmaking in general? Lack of meaningful rewards?
This feels like an arcade game. Like I pay a quarter to enjoy one match kind of thing and the big issue is the hit registration… teammates quitting… radar being made useless in a lot of my engagements…
This isn’t a Halo game to me. Does anyone else feel that way? Because this is strike two as far as games go… I won’t be referring to 343 industries Halo version of games much further if this keeps up.
