Thank you 343 for not implementing a report button and providing a poor experience for players who just want to play a fair game.
Just like in the MCC, there is no report on launch. Can’t report teammates, can’t report enemies. Of the 3 games I played, 3 of them weren’t 4v4 games. The AFK ‘players’ can stay in the game no problem, and I doubt they have any penalties applied to their accounts. I have to admit I am a bit surprised they didn’t implement reports and penalties on launch, following the MCC’s rapid decline in players (as seen on steamcharts), as the most likely thing to happen will also be a rapid decline of Infinite’s player base. To absolutely no one’s surprise. A bold move, let’s see how it pays off.
At least I’m glad the game is free, so I didn’t waste 40$ on it like I did the MCC.
EDIT: I tried 7 more games, including ranked. Can you guess how many of those games had a quitter or an AFK player?
I remember when people were saying that the challenge system would deter AFK-ers. It absolutely does not. At least the game will boot them after some time and replace them with a bot until someone new joins in. Honestly one of the best things 343i has added into Halo.
This is why you have performance xp only (winning + medals), but 343 doesn’t understand that incentives drive behavior. As soon as they give a reward for loading the map, then this was the expected result.
