I’ve played a lot of FFA and have gotten pretty good at it. recently i wanted to play ranked FFA with friends so i invited them to the fire team. i tried to enter the game but it did not allow fire teams because of the FFA no team part. in my opinion it should still let you play with a fire team even if there are no teams in FFA. i want your opinion what do you think?

I don’t know but I’m guessing that they don’t allow teams because the results could be “fixed” to allow players ranking to increase.
It should absolutely not allow Fireteam members to play Ranked FFA with you. Much like old Halo’s unranked FFA playlist (Rumble Pit), people would start teaming up with their friends and make the matches tilted into their favor. Although some were able to bypass the system in Halo 3’s Lone Wolves playlist, that playlist doesn’t allow friends to join either for a good amount of the same reasons why Halo 5’s FFA doesn’t allow you to.
As people have already said, allowing fire teams to enter FFA is inviting exploitation. Teams could easily focus on allowing a single player to win, with that whole team focusing on defending said player and refraining from attacking.
Making FFA a solo queue playlist ensures that everyone playing is fighting for their own victory and no one else’s.
In ranked play no way should teams be allowed. Would be to easy for people to boost their rank. Now if they had a soical FFA like rumble pit then sure why not.

Like others have explained: it is not really a surprise that fireteams are not allowed in FFA games.
The only thing you can do is make sure all 4 of you go searching for the FFA match. Chances are you guys will end up in the same lobby.
Host in customs. Some of the most chill and fun FFA matches I have played were in customs. One of the most fun matches I hosted once was a FFA games max six players on H3 construct, disable Spartan charge, H2BR starts and I put a bersker claw where the flamethrower usually is and it was awesome to play.

Absolutely not if you wanna play FFA with your friends go to Custom Games. The reason it’s restricted to one per fireteam is so that there is no rank or stat boosting.

I even hated that in Reach because it was always parties of 7 that would go in with one color and then gang up against the lone player. I did have a little trick though which was to switch to their color right before the game started so I would blend in better.
