Firefighter challenge feedback

I have wondered for a long time why the ‘firefighter’ weekly challenge is only doable in the 4 player firefight modes and not the 2 player firefight modes also. The challenge requires the player to finish a match made firefight ‘set’ which is only doable in 4 player modes since the 2 player modes only last one ‘round’ instead of 3 which is required to complete a ‘set’. I understand if the challenge is meant to only be for completing sets, but I think it would be a good and welcomed change to the challenges requirement(s) if it would require the player to complete, for example 6 ‘rounds’ as compared to 2 ‘sets’.

This would allow players doing the 2 player match made firefight modes to also be able to progress this challenge like the new monthly/tactical exercise challenge ‘Volunteer Firefighter’.
There are other ways to change the requirements to allow both 4 and 2 player modes to allow progression, but I think my one example could be a good option or starting point for thinking of broader requirement(s) to allow all match made firefight modes to give some amount of progression for the weekly ‘Firefighter’ challenge.

What do you think of this feedback/suggestion idea?

i think this would be a neat idea. i’d like something like this to be implemented

Yes please. Firefight is my favorite gametype and the more they can do for it the better. I often prefer the 4 player games, but I definitely want the 2 player fans to be considered, it seems like a pretty wise player base. It also accommodates half-completed sets where players weren’t quite able to win for one reason or another.

My only issue with this is that players might quit halfway through once getting their rounds finished, negatively affecting other’s play, but an easy way to circumvent this is to have the rounds only count at the end of the game.

It should also gain a Season Point rather than XP. Partly because XP isn’t worth much, but mostly because Firefight Fodder is no longer in rotation I believe.

OP, there’s no need to worry about the various challenges - they will not affect your gameplay in any way whether you complete them or not. If you enjoy firefight as much as I do just keep searching in whichever variant you like playing. There are no rewards attached to completing whatever challenges happen to be available.

Could be one of many things that could be done to iron out the game’s haphazardly thrown together progression system.

You make a good point with only granting progression once a match is completed, I’m not sure if that would be viable but it would fix that problem.

I also wouldn’t mind seeing it become a ‘gold’ challenge or a challenge that would also grant a season point or 2.

If you are wondering why your post keep getting “flagged by bots” post like you are making here is why… You claimed you just are trying to help people but all you seem to do is post how “pointless” stuff is. We all get it, you don’t care about challenges and cosmetics. Well some enjoy completing challenges and unlocking cosmetics. Some of us just enjoy completing the challenges. You may want to be more positive with your post.

With that said, I have to agree and hope they make the two player firefight count towards the weekly challenge. I didn’t even know they didn’t count towards the challenge. I think it is something they can do as they have been improving the challenge system lately.
