Firefight Wishlist Thread

I’m not sure if this has been done before, but why don’t we put all our hopes for Firefight in Halo 4 (assuming its going to be included.)

: Have the regular multiplayer maps support Firefight.
: Ability to construct things like Barriers, Automated Turrets (Think the turrets from the Package), normal turrets, call in A.I helpers etc etc.
: Add in Boss Waves at the end of a Set or Round. Assuming there’s suitable enemies.
: Keep the customisability of Reach, but reorient it towards survival.

What does the rest of Waypoint think?

Killstreaks in Firefight may actually be a good thing. Obviously in multiplayer it’d be horrible, but I think it’d be a fun new addition in this casual gametype. Killing a grunt earns you 1 point, Jackals earn you 2 points, Skirmishers 3, Brutes 4, Elites 5, etc. Apparently enough we’ll have new and different enemies, but the points/streak system should stay. Earn enough and be granted different attributes for killing enemies? I think it could be a good addition.

Yep. I like all those ideas. Sort of a mixture of CoD/Gears.

I also wouldnt mind something objective type thrown in between rounds either. Something like Section 8’s DCMs (Dynamic Combat Missions) in MP which I think would translate well into firefight. Something not necessary to the core objective but gets you more points/better equipments.

Gears does something like that in Horde (X headshots in a round etc). A sort of a refined idea of that would be nice. Something like bring down the next dropship. Or steal a wraith without destroying it. Etc.

My Firefight Wishlist:

  1. Playable Characters: Elite, Spartan, Forerunner (if one appears in H4), Brute (yes brute, see below about flood)

  2. Enemies: Flood, Covenant Loyalists, Precursers, humans (yes even humans if you wish to play as Covenant against respawning humans)

  3. English speaking enemies! None of that crap in Reach!

  4. Firefight Game Types: Covenant vs Humans, Humans & Covenant vs Flood, Covenant & Humans vs Forerunners and or Pre-cursers, Forerunners vs Precursers (with Humans and Covenant Allied with Forerunners)

  5. Allied AI bots that can be a selectable option in order to make it seem like an all out war and pandemonium.

Flood nuff said

I would like more firefight voices. And if they put in red vs. blue people that would be awesome.

Every idea already stated is something I would like to see in Halo 4.

This. I would LOVE to see challenge waves put into FireFight. It was brilliant in Gears 3 Horde Mode. I don’t see why we shouldn’t. :smiley:
