Firefight Weekly Challenge - Time for a change?

I haven’t seen this brought up already so, here goes.
Does ANYONE still play Firefight Matchmaking?
For the past 3 weeks or so I have been trying to complete all the weekly PvE Challenges, and this is the only one I can never accomplish. Every time I go into start searching for players, nothing happens. The search starts, but it never finds anyone.

So wouldn’t it be better to give us a different challenge that can be done that isn’t contingent on having to depend on other people? Maybe make one that you have to kill so many sniper jackals on Legendary, or have to successfully hijack a banshee, or make a specific campaign achievement the goal (whether it has been already accomplished or not, it still registers as completed when done or re-done), or something a little out of the ordinary.

I get it that most seem to have migrated to Infinite, but I still like to play MCC as well.
I’m somewhat of a completionist (on certain things), and it bugs me that I can’t knock all these out every week when there is no one to match up with.

I play reach firefight, arcade and bam. Matching during the morning/day time EST can be really slow other than that I usually get games relatively quickly.

I can only play in the evenings or weekends, but they have all panned out the same way so far.

Have you tried resetting the game? If you do quick resume on a Series X, and the weekly playlist update happened you will be unable to find a match due to outdated playlist information. I have no issue finding matches by just queuing everything except standard firefight.

Actually no, I haven’t tried that. Thanks for the suggestion, and I’ll try it tonight.

I find games pretty fast in Reach Firefight, but I usually don’t complete that challenge most weeks because I often don’t feel like playing full set games. It would be great if that challenge could be tweaked slightly to allow Firefight Doubles to count towards it. Of course they’d have to re-add Doubles again for which it should have never been removed in the first place…

I’ll be playing a lot more Firefight once the updates roll out. I also want:

Firefight leaderboards.

More playable characters(Miranda Keyes, Lord Hood, NMPD Cop etc)

‘Rivals’ 2v2 competitive Firefight mode.

More Firefight maps.

Monthly community challenges to replace the seasonal challenge section(since content isn’t being rolled out in the season format) and some of these should be for Firefight like survive X number of waves, accumulate X score etc.
