i dont mind the difficulty at all, its that time limit that makes it really hard at times.i feel like there should be a way to boost the time limit if in dire need. ive had the mythic warden down to nearly 1/5 of his health and run out of time about 3 times now, come on just a few more seconds or a minute more and it would have been lights out. oh well id rather it be hard than boring and easy thats for sure. good job 343.
and that 25 second death is just miserable btw. i understand it but its a bit much. should be at least a little bit of grace to those who make it all the way to the last round and then finally die. or somethin idk. rant over. checkmate.
overall with the right team its doable.
except for one thing.
on urban the first 2 round both were to kill 20 and 30 prometheans. after that came the 4 Temple banshee raiders.
going up against 4 temple raiders with req lvl 3 and a half… isnt gonna work. even when teamshooting its not gonna work.
after a while we gave up on trying and just dabbled around for awhileike grunts…
Yeah I’m glad they upped the difficulty. The beta was WAY to easy and very boring. If it had been similar in difficulty to the beta i probably would’ve only rarely ever played it.

ok i gotta say…i LOVED the beta it was really really fun what i would’ve changed is more enemies…such as more knights and more hunters and Phaetons out the badonkadonk make it more challenging and fun…also the UI and HUD changes made in this rendition i like it because situational awareness is easier to attain now…but this version of firefight i have to say i don’t approve of…i really don’t…id rather just play Spartan Ops on legendary mode again i mean f*** because even THAT was easier than this…i miss the beta…so i will propose a compromise…allow players to choose difficulty levels or at the very least pull 24 people into the firefight because THEN maybe we can get somewhere because 8 people going all willy nilly on a biznatch isn’t really gonna do anything except waste my time…also nerf the bloody respawn timers i dont have the time or patience to wait 30 bloody seconds to get back into the fight because either A the round is completed by my team and i feel like that one kid in the corner of the class that the teacher wont call on…or time runs out and we fail…the lesson to be learned here is if it ain’t broke don’t go tinkering around with the bloody thing…people can hate on me all they want idc but i LOVED the WZFF beta

Looks like the Reach kiddies want their invulnerability and bottomless clip firefight back.
Team work is key like some of you vomplaining about the mantis or grunt crack me up as these are new bosses that actually require strategy as opposed to being OP bullet sponges. Its the bigger bosses and the placement and spawns of them that sometimes make the game feel like you are already on the losing side + I feel the REQ system should be altered so that one REQ card gives you more bang for your buck in firefight otherwise its wasted and other team mates are stingy with reqs.

well played
It feels pretty good to me, just watch those Jackal Snipers, they are ruthless.
Well, where do I start? ODST was the original firefight. It was balanced. Sure it got silly the longer you survived, but enemies never felt cheap. Even the Brute Chieftains were enjoyable enemies (when you reach set 5 and all you have is the SMG) It was rewarding and felt ‘fair’. When you died, you knew it was for making a mistake. Even Reach’s firefight was somewhat balanced.
But this? Yes the Beta was a bit easy, but this is too far the other way. I often find we are given ‘kill X enemy vehicles’ objective at level 2 and 3 w many players haven’t even reached req level 3. Many other objectives are not difficult, simply not enough time is given for the amount of enemies required to be killed. The enemy spawns seem off- I have found I am often left sprinting wildly around the map looking for the last 12 or so grunts as the timer slowly ticks down…
The Bosses are way too spongey. Especially the grunt goblin. Either he shows up in round 2 of there is no heavy weapons to deal with him, or he shows up in round 5 with an endlessly spawning entourage of Incineration Canon wielding knights, so vehicles can’t even get close. The player death times are ludicrous. Someone suggested we reverse it and have the 30 second penalty in round one, and the 5 seconds in round 5. Much more sensible, although I fail to see why it is needed at all, the game is already much more difficult than the beta.
I know we all want different things but as it stands, warzone firefight is too hard. That’s great if you can bring a ‘pro team’ to the table, but for the sake of balance it needs to be achievable by a team of randoms, and as it stands that can’t be done, or at best is highly improbable. Out of all the games I played, It generally ends around round 3 due to the time running out, which is what I thought the feedback from the beta is supposed to have addressed. I completed the ‘endure’ achievement in Halo 3 ODST several times. That was fun. This is not.

I agree if it was easy all the time it’d get bland quick
It’s really not all that hard. The problem is 90% of Xbox Live wants to be antisocial and not work as a unit nowadays.
And honestly, even with people not working together, I think it could be more difficult.

Can we have at least ONE thread in these forums where people aren’t attacking those who are not as skilled as themselves? I’m quite fed up with some of the attitudes around here. It’s not constructive.
No, no we cannot. People have this crazy twitch in their brain that gives them joy from insulting other people and feeling like they got a reaction by putting them down. This Forum has possibly one of those most toxic environments I have seen in an online community (next to Destiny forums)

I know I personally sit in a private party while playing Halo 5 so I can understand wanting to be antisocial (well… friend social but) I am glad they upped the difficulty because TBH I was bored to death during firefight in the Beta and it felt like a slower version of Reach Arcade mode. (I only liked playing limited offline with friends because of that stupid mode)
I do hope that it isn’t a spam legendary reqs to win and actually just work with your team to take down enemies like the original firefight was though. a few more hours and I’ll get to find out.
it being more difficult is good, but some of the rounds do seems a little much, mainly when they are the harder ones appearing first.
Tell me how I am going to take down two banshee raiders with a pistol and AR… or stop dozens of knights and soldiers from capturing an armory they spawn in.

with a steady aim and a quick trigger.

yea I agree
I’ve been playing solo and won most games. Some were extreme, but its been a ton of fun.
Absolutely loved fighting the Phantom with a tank. Also losing on round 1 while defending the armory from soldiers and knights was great too.
