Firefight way too hard!!!!!!!

If we only had to fight covenant and their damage output & accuracy was toned down a bit, it would actually be enjoyable.

Why not rush enemies? It’s what I’ve been doing for 10 years and it’s worked absolutely fine.

Die 4 times in a match and you’re potentially out of the game for upwards of two minutes!?!

The respawn timer is forcing us to be AFK - this makes Miso sadface =(

That moment you die more times to grunts, jackels, and crawlers than elites, soldiers,and knights. These AI also never reload/overheat their weapon which is just stupid

Firefight really isn’t hard. It all comes down to teamwork in the end. I was in FF matches that seemed way too easy, and then had matches that were impossible. Once our team spawned two scorpions on darkstar and the matches were a breeze! Until the two mythic knights that is, then we ditched the tanks for Wasps.

I actually enjoyed the Firefights from previous Halos more than I enjoyed this one. In the older versions, the game grew progressively more difficult rather than shoving it all in your face and becoming difficult immediately. It was based not on time or objectives, but on the team’s ability to become creative in how they survive through each round. Each round introduced new challenges like the skulls and the variety of enemies that came to face the team. In ODST, the road to recon was the ultimate test of the player’s skill to survive 5 entire sets before their life count hit zero. Lots of tears and cries of anger, but man, when you got through it, those bitter tears were worth it. ‘THAT’ is good game design. This Halo is a mess when it comes to the AI being able to somehow absorb so much damage without being able to hardly flinch before dying, the players are outnumbered and outgunned, outpaced, and outshielded, while whatever requisitions (Which there should be no REQ level or energy restrictions) people call out outside of vehicles are horribly outstripped of any usefulness when you can be killed outright, where in previous games, the power weapons were supposed to give you that feeling that you could kill anything with them. Then the game itself tends to make it more difficult by adding a time limit to every round with an objective that doesn’t even seem to compliment the requisition system at all, and a respawn timer and location creates an even bigger gap between victory and defeat. On top of all that, the bosses, which is supposed to set the whole mood up for the victory or defeat are either horrendously powerful and can kill players without much effort or placed in a location where the players have to kill virtually every enemy before they can even get closed to the boss. Then with every kill, even more enemies spawn, so if a player dies, which is not that hard to, the spawn timer makes so much of the effort to that point more meaningless .

I like challenges, but in a day and where people would rather mute their mics, in a game mode which is supposed to be fun, it became a chore that became boring.

it’s not too hard. it’s exactly like it should be, at least from 343i and microsofts point of view. it’s hard so you have to use your best req packs and eventually be forced to spend money on req packs. thats what it’s designed to be and it achieves that goal

Too hard or or just hard-cheap?

Hard is when you make a mistake that you know is on you.

Cheap is spawning a ghost to try to beat the timer and kill knights, only to approach the base and get destroyed by a homing incinerator cannon from 100 feet away. Thirty second respawn …

firefight just sucks overall…the respawn timers are stupid…the prometheans and forerunner hostiles are bloody bullet sponges and forget trying to use grav hammers or energy swords…you’re dead before you even get -Yoinking!- close…also the respawns you have to wait 30 seconds then travel ALL the way across the map only to get blown up or slaughtered by the abundance of enemies oh and let’s use a vehicle to do it…good luck you will either get blown up or shot to bloody ribbons before you can even get a shot off or dismount the vehicle lol i like the fact they added more maps but that’s about the only thing i liked…remember the Beta…you either made it to round 5 only to do battle with 3 wardens and maybe a quarter of the time you were able to clear the round…or you got stonewalled by the defend the garage objective…either which way when palmer declared a victory and you and your team shout for joy (even if it’s all a bunch of random people…hell i made most of my XBox live friends that way lol) and you jump for joy and shouts of exhilaration only to do it all over again with a bunch of new people was fun i liked it…it was relaxing and fun…but this new WZFF we got going on i play 20 games and maybe win 2 of em like what BS Is that it’s just BS Is what it is—in conclusion this rendition of firefight needs some SERIOUS tweaking is all im saying ty for listening to me rant and i hope you all have a blessed day :slight_smile:

But then how will they sell you REQs?

i play games to relax and have fun but this new WZFF we got going on…it stresses me the -Yoink- out…H5 is losing players and popularity because of it…unless your MLG pro your bloody screwed…or if you don’t buy like buy the 100 dollar req pack from the store then that just makes you cheap and whatever…and whats with the ZERO customization i miss the days of halo reach where i could sport full overshields and back myself into a corner on legendary with a -Yoink- ton of hunters staring down my face…THAT was easier than WZFF i mean bloody HELL!

OMG I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS BUT what if 343 put that revival mechanic that’s in the campaign in like war zone variants and some arena playlists!?!? IT WOULD CREATE A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME
