Firefight way too hard!!!!!!!

I also really enjoy the firefight. It would be less fun if wins were more guaranteed. Someone’s I win sometimes lose. It ultimately depends on teamwork and reqs players are willing to spend. Group with a noob or cheapskate team and you’re likely to lose. That’s a reality for all games and not a reason to be a hater

Banshees in round 3 of Urban is always a fail, req level simply isn’t high enough to destroy them quickly enough.

It’s different that it is hard than that you are not well at playing.

the hunter round at the beach was ridiculous. Being at only level 3 reqs how were we supposed to even kill one hunter when they were heavily guarded by all these knights. Plus their all chilling back behind the rocks in the water. It’s impossible to run over there without being shot at by twenty incineration blasts.
Not to mention those defend the armory rounds. Gotta run half way across the map while the enemy gets a head start at capturing the armory so by the time we get there we still have 4 minutes to stop them from capturing the other half of the armory.

Ever since it was released two days ago I was trying so hard to get at least one win and all day was nothing but loss after loss until it was so late for me i was on attack on sanctum (the new map) I finally managed to pull a win but it was still hard as hell to beat. For instance the mythic warden eternal was so stressful my team couldn’t kill even ONE of them because they had too much health and I still cannot kill them because the keep spamming the EMP blast on my tank or any other vehicle we try and hit them with. And as a result the timer runs out and we end up loosing the match. Thus I think lowering the health on the mythic and legendary bosses by 10 to 15% may be easier for us to beat him even increasing the timer by an extra minute or two each round will help as well. Other than that I still enjoy the game mode it is something the community wanted for the longest time as i can remember so please think these ideas over and maybe 343 will make them happen later on.

It’s harder then the Beta but it allows you to be able to push yourself on the game. Especially when survival plays a big role in the Fire Fight. what I’ve been noticing is a lot of buggy issues though which could be the servers and I hope they’ll fix that pretty soon.

The Difficulty is fine, nothing has to change except maybe at least adding 30 secs or a minute on the last round. And what’s the point of Firefight being easy? There’s no enjoyment in something easy and it makes victories less satisfying.

Did they make it more difficult today? I’ve played 5-6 matches today and I don’t think a single one has made it past the 2nd round. With the exception of a match where we were trying to take down a bunch of Phaetons in the first round with pistols and AR, every match I’ve played has made it to the 4th or 5th round. We’re just getting swarmed by tons overpowered enemies early on and while we’re having to protect an objective, and I’m getting 1-2 shot killed by Crawlers. My teammates all seem to be trying to play the objective but it doesn’t help. We’re getting overwhelmed by Knights and Phaetons before we really can call in effective REQs. I haven’t had a problem with the difficulty until today. I have been saying “even when we lose it’s still fun” but I’ve had no fun today. Maybe it’s just bad luck. In one game we were trying to call in some Ghosts once we could but the spawn point was right in the middle of where all the enemies were and I saw myself and two other people get their Ghosts destroyed before we even had a chance to take control.

the damage is no where near to the standard difficulties that are in any halo games. Because I remember the standard for reach firefight was heroic and the elites wouldn’t have boosted speed to there projectiles making it an instant death

Getting three shot from a ghost sounds fun to you?

It’s not too hard just takes a good team with skill and not greedy

Some games are easier than others. For example my team was able to destroy taskmaster luk on apex 7 but in the next game we were only able to kill one of the harbingers. I think that with a little communication the game will be a bit easier. My biggest gripe though is the stupid respawn timer, since enemies can basically two shot me, I don’t enjoy dying, waiting 30 seconds, then spending the next minute running across the map to reach the harbingers.

If I might lend an opinion…I think that Doshalo makes a fair point; the player should have access to the resources they need to win the match with an appropriate level of skill; you can blast away at a Legendary phaeton and make every hit count while not getting killed (skill), but still not have enough rounds to take down all your enemies without having access (fairness) to heavier weapons or vehicles. When this happens in Firefight, it sort of feels like having to take a test you were never properly prepared for. Casino odds: always favors the house.

Yes…and no.
Some of us are better than others, and always will be…some of us have better coordination and better response times and better aim. Yes, I agree that you need to try hard and get better, and ‘suck it up,’ as you say. But speaking as one of the people that is only average at best in multiplayer and who definitely wants to have that natural skill, I simply do not measure up to my more skilled peers. Sometimes mediocre players like myself who want to have fun find themselves vastly outmatched and outgunned…aaaaanddd just like in the real world, when you want to play a game and everyone’s stomping all over you…good feelings gone.

A challenge is good; it helps build you into a better player.
A massacre is just bad for morale. And unless I miss my guess, gaming should really be about fun, not mocking the less-gifted.

I agree, it has need of a lot of tweaking.

Teamwork and coordination goes a long way. I’ve run with groups and won, but it usually requires us to work together even if it just means focus fire on the same target, or setting specific individuals to handle adds.
