I wanted it to be a bit harder than the beta. They spiked up the difficulty to the point that I’d like to see a team beat it without using a single non loadout req. If I can win Warzone without a req, I should be able to win Warzone Firefight without a single req. That’s my only criteria.
Oh and my own selfish desires? What about those of us who thought the Warzone Firefight beta was almost balanced? Wouldnt requesting making it more difficult be selfish then back in the beta, oh I guess not.

The Firefight beta was the most tedious, brain dead garbage I have ever played in my life. It was so pathetically easy that it actually made me not want to play Halo 5 at all. I just went back to the Doom beta. And now the Gold rank players are coming out of the wood-work to complain that you actually need to be able to aim and stay alive to win all 5 rounds. Good God.

Warzone in general is based on using reqs and a version you can beat without using reqs defeats the purpose. In fact it would mean using reqs makes the game mode trivial. And the only way you can win warzone without a req is if other people on your team use reqs or everyone is stuck with ar/pistol.
Beta wasn’t balanced. The only challenging objective was defend the garage and everything else was easy as -Yoink-.

I agree, the beta was too easy. I thought it needed some adjustments and changes. I just feel that they overshot a little. I think it also depends on the objective. My first match was lost on round 4, but the next match my team won (completing round 5 with 4 scorpions, two ONI Mantises, and Two Ultra Banshees by the skin of our teeth.)
I don’t think it needs a huge brain dead nerf. I agree that REQs should be somewhat encouraged. I just think that the new difficulty, gobs of heavy enemies, AND a respawn nerf was just a BIT much.

Yup -_- i agree with people here that the beta was to easy but this is just a bit to difficult. If it wasnt for the non boss enemies that keep respawning and the respawn maybe going down to 20 seconds. Then i might be able to win some matches
I just played my first match of Firefight, and I have no idea why people are saying that it’s too hard. It offers a nice challenge, while still being completely possible to beat. It’s very rewarding, unlike the beta.

Sounds like to me I’ll be enjoying firefight until I run out of tanks and mantis. Lol.
The enemies have to much health, does to much damage, spawns that spawn you INSIDE clusters of enemies, has extreme numbers and do not miss shots… EVER. 2 of these would be acceptable, but all of them together is just too much.
Combined with the long respawn timer + the long run back makes the entire thing more fustrating than fun.
They need to scale it down, this is just to much. And to the people saying “Just run with a fireteam”, not everyone here wants to do that, in fact, I doubt the majority of the playerbase does that, and you should not require a premade fireteam to beat it.
And having to pull Power Weapons/vehicles constantly only to lose them almost instantly, is not fun either.
I vote to scale it down.
i feel like the majority of players who complain that this FF is “too hard” now have self entitlement issues. Entitlement as in, they feel as if they should get in the win without putting forth any hard effort (This is why no sporting event or field day should ever give out participation ribbons). What’s wrong with a challenge? It’s more of a sense of achievement that you beat it rather than blowing right past it. I’m glad that they made it more “difficult”. just saying.
I was so wrong. This is a lot harder.
My only gripe with it, is it seems a lot harder to get req points. I was just under 10,000 points ( about 3,000 over the second place person) and I was only at req level 5. We needed a tank to clear out the base and take the phaetons down.
They need to fix this, it is not even fun to play due to the difficulty.
No its not. You gotta prioritize targets, it literally tells you who to kill.
I would lioe to suggest to the team in charge of WZFF that some of the last rounds with the more difficult objectives have their time lengthened from 5 to 10 minutes. The one with the three Wardens absolutely needs more time.

I have been playing since launch, I am level 130. I haven’t spent a single dollar on REQ packs. I am just about done with golds (20 or so more to go). I have played regularly, every week for 8 months.
Seriously. It’s not unreasonable to ask that the mode be made a tad easier (don’t get me wrong, I am not asking for a ridiculous nerf). It takes months to get some of the good stuff in Warzone. Not everyone has the time or the money to build a decent quick REQ collection, and believe it or not many people discover and start playing Halo 5 every day.
Give it time, people will figure it out.

I haven’t been able to play FF yet, but if the difficulty is as bad as some are making it out to be then this is the perfect argument. I’m level 83 and have a pretty decent req collection, but for newer players with common/uncommon reqs a game mode like this is practically unplayable until they level up.
