I honestly feel like it’s fairly balanced at the moment.
If you aren’t in a co-ordinated fireteam, you will struggle to get to the final round(s)…Unless your team spawns the appropriate vehicles/weaponry. I thoroughly enjoyed a few hours of firefight last night, and failed to complete it only twice; both of those times were when I queued solo. My team-mates did not call in any REQs except for one rocket warthog in round 3, and one hannibal scorpion in round 5. The rest were just shooting their BRs at the grunt boss, running out of ammo, going back to a REQ station… repeat.
There are two things I would like to see changed though:
The elite turret gunner on the phantoms cannot be shot / killed. It is really irritating to be constantly barraged by it and to see your vehicle’s armour get melted by something you can’t fight back against. (I have no issue with the front concussion blaster, as this is more easily avoided)
The respawn timers could be adjusted to suit your ‘death streak’ as opposed to the round. 1st death = 5 seconds, 2nd death = 10… up to a maximum of 30 seconds for the 6th death onwards. Prevents zerging, promotes clever awareness.
It’s not meant to be easy - I much prefer the challenge.
WZFF it´s awesome! It´s hard and very intense, my only issue are the 3 Wardens inside the bases, that´s very difficult because you can´t shoot them from all sides and the space is so little… but i give 9/10 to WZFF.

There’s always going to be THAT ONE person… sigh
(1) Allow me to explain something to you. The whole purpose of the increased respawn time is to implement a different challenge to users. By doing this, 343 is enabling players to work somewhat as a team and NOT go guns-blazing into enemy territory. They explicitly explained in the Live stream that the AI is not your standard enemy anymore. You have to plan a tactical move and strategically determine how you and your party is going to defeat them. Otherwise, you’re just going to end being their rag-doll to toss around.
(2) If you ask me, I quite enjoy the game mode even with the increased respawn timer. It allows to me to sit there and think about where I went wrong and plan out how I’m going to avoid it the next time around. I think 343 did a wonderful job on bringing us free content updates every month and bringing Firefight, their biggest game mode yet, to Halo 5.
(3) Lastly… If you simply don’t like it that way (as many of the casuals will) don’t play it. They have unranked arena modes for that reason, so that you can enjoy the game and not complain about the smallest thing.
I’m not saying this is too hard. It’s just unbalanced and inconsistent. One match your team gets killed by mantises on round two, other matches you have grunts on round 4. Firefight is supposed to be an elevator of difficulty but it ends up being random.
I’ve won most of my games and I don’t buy REQs, If anything it’s too easy. I would prefer having a difficulty setting because I always played firefight on legendary in the other games. This would cull the complaints for the casuals and keep the hardcore people happy as well. I would imagine it’s as simple as tweaking damage and health for the players and the enemies. My one complaint is that there is no single player functionality because one day H5 servers will shut down and warzone firefight will be gone forever as opposed to the other firefights which I will be able to play until I die.
Too easy. Ive played multiple games and only lost one I think. In a couple hours after release people are already able to easy finish games, with no teamwork… Maybe they could add a second Firefight playlist thats not easy.

Seems midway to me. Also people need to talk focus fire, CC, etc. it is a team game. but this has been an issue for a lot of multiplayer.
