Firefight way too hard!!!!!!!

while I would prefer it being too hard than too easy, I think it is a little too difficult and would like to see it slightly nerfed. To me, the best balance in difficulty in a PvE matchmaking has been either Halo Reach or Titanfall Frontier Defense. While frontier defense lacks in variety because all you do is defend the core, it is perfect in its diffiulty. While it is very beatable, it is also very easy to mess up and lose if not working together. That is what I would like to see change in Warzone Firefight. While this is the case for round 1-4, the final round is almost always insanely difficult. Not because of necessarily what you’re facing, but simply because of the time limit. The only match I’ve won was when facing the mythic wraiths on sanghelios,which was a pushover. But anytime its been a mythic warden round, it’s not that they are hard to kill, they just take FOREVER!

i think its good how hard it is it what makes it hard and fun i only won my first match

If their regular hunters (wich would not have knightly escort of that calibar) they are very weak in a warzone sanario, simply kill one of the nights and get 1 or 2 shots off with the cannon and reapeat in various ways until dead, also don’t pull respawn time because at req 3 you don’t have a 30 sec time, unless you have litterly done nothing the entire game. also 343 has reason to believe you can handle it due to normal warzone pitting you against hunter elders at req 2…

Yes, you do Fight hunters at round three Just like how you fight many other bosses. At round three. The knights easily one shot you dont act like you could take on 4 hunters guarded by knights with incineration cannons. Not to mention you’re still at level3 with 5 minutes left…

I agree I’ve done over 10 games and won 2 so far. The warden and the hunters are the most annoying bosses to me

No they don’t. Some of the bosses you can’t even get a tank up to much less kill it with one

Yeah I agree but I’d rather it also not be so hard that it’s nerve wrecking either.

My experience with WZFF has been alright at least compared to what you guys are talking about. One game had my entire team up against a wall with soldiers and crawlers cornering us from all sides. This was perhaps the most fun I had so far. While I agree that WZFF is not perfect, I don’t think that it is way too hard by any means. I have lost (from a bad memory) at least 30% of my games which is fine considering I don’t consider myself a pro player. There are some objectives that need work such as the stupid mantis-in-garage or take down a phaeton for wave 2 or the wardens in the base (which I discovered could be beaten by driving a heavy vehicle up the back core-entrance ramp thing). There is no denying the fact though that 343 did a damn fine job at this. They listened to the community (as split as we are) and amped up the difficulty. They just overshot a little (or more depending on how you see it). Also, I don’t support the respawn system that increases the timer per wave. I think a personal live system per wave would work much better
In this thread, i’ve seen one exaggeration that is completely untrue. That is that you need ultra/oni level reqs in order to beat wave 5. You do not. While they make the job easier I’ve won some matches without anything beyond the base variants. You need maybe at least 4 scorpions or 5 sword wraiths for wave 5 and could get by just fine with some skill and luck. I think this is fine considering most people including people around rank 35 will have those things certified (or at least some heavy weapons)
tl;dr- WZFF is fun as -Yoink- and 343 came so close to nailing the game mode. They messed up a few things and people are making the game mode to be way harder than it actually is. After all, its only day one so let’s give some time to rule out the outliers.

It’s the 5th wave that’s the issue to me that’s it.

Honestly i dont think its very difficult as i have played 9 game of warzone FF last night and i have only lost 2 of them.
you just need to spawn in reqs otherwise you will lose. thats all there seems to be to it.

the only thing that is annoying is on this is if you die on the final round having to wait 30 seconds which seems like ages

Finished final boss with 3 seconds to go, takes 5 to load in. Also having to fight up to 4 mythic bosses in five minutes is unfair. The cores also give up to few damage and instantly end the game. I have played 10 matches and only won once do to this Bs.

Yup, especially the Mantis rounds, they re-gen health and need a whole team to take one down, and that’s hard when your team won’t cooperate.

If you’re playing with a full team of friends, it’s really not hard but with randoms where you don’t really get the chance to communicate it does get quite difficult

Hotrod192 I applaud you sir, also I am right there with you. Also the first match I played we beat it, it is all about weapon and vehicle selection.

If you continue to use power weapons and vehicles it’s not as tough. For instance Temple Banshee, Wasp, Selene’s Lance, Arclight, etc.

I was thinking it’s still pretty easy the only one I have lost in is the protect the core on urban. The rest even the garage on arc is easy to me.

Why exactly does it need to be completely trivial (e.g. the Firefight beta) in order to be “relaxing?” This aversion to anything requiring the least bit of effort or skill has made console FPSs a complete joke. You already have access to a ridiculous arsenal of overpowered joke weapons in this iteration of Firefight. What more do you want? For the AI to just face the other way and sit extra still so you can actually hit something with a sniper rifle?

I would be surprised if you missed the broadside of a barn with the sniper. The aim assist is insane.
