I think I’ve played 5 or 6 rounds and only lost one. I almost think it is too easy but I’m not complaining. I think it’s so much fun.

Seems like no one has the balls to rise to any form of challenge anymore. They just whine until the difficulty gets nerfed to the point the game is no longer stimulating and thus no fun to play anymore. We should be encouraging people to strive for self improvement, not to beg for the bar to be lowered.

“SOME PEOPLE JUST WUNNA HAVE FUN”. Yeah, so does every other single person playing the game, that’s kind of why they’re playing in the first place. What a non-argument. Some people just don’t find shooting completely non-threatening enemies to be fun in the slightest. I might as well just sit at home and pop balloons with a nailgun instead.

Anyways, getting back on-topic. I haven’t actually played the mode but I’d assume whatever difficulty spike that has been made is to encourage use of REQ items. That they’re probably struggling to balance the mode between encouraging REQ’s without making REQ’s overpowered, and doing that while making loadouts a viable alternative (since REQs aren’t always available to everyone). And at the same time they have to ensure the mode itself is not too hard or too easy in general. Not exactly an easy balancing act to perform.

Could’ve avoided much of that by just not tying to Warzone.

I agree, warzone firefight is very difficult. I usually can only make it to round 3.

The 10% of you who think Firefight is easy can go and be -Yoinks!- somewhere else because just because you’re a -Yoinking!- pro doesn’t mean the rest of the 90% of us need to “get gud” to win a -Yoinking!- game of firefight. A lot of us don’t have the time to be skilled players. I for one am in college, and between splitting time between homework, friends/girlfriends/ family, work, and just time to myself, it’s nearly impossible to play enough to “get gud”. A lot of people have jobs, or school, maybe they have other priorities or hell even just want to play other games. Halo isn’t a priority for 90% of us, so stop blaming our skill or our motivation you -Yoinking!- tools.

The thing is I agree the beta was too easy but there’s a difference from being challenging to being damn near impossible. A game shouldn’t be so difficult that it scares newcomers away or veteran players who don’t have the time anymore to “get gud” by playing 50 matches of firefight only to win 5 of them. Firefight is pretty -Yoinking!- hard unless you have a group of pro players all on a headset which is hard to come by. Especially because everybody doesn’t have friends on the same console or playing the same game. There are things for people that play competitive to do, but to shun 90% of your own -Yoinking!- community from having fun because they don’t have the time to enhance their skill or adapt is idiotic and selfish.

Its perfect… enough said, if you cant beat it stop complaining and just get better. (or just don’t play it)

Firefight is too hard, but its not necessarily the bosses that are the whole problem. In the last round the 30 second respond timer is way too brutal, especially when it is likely that you will be instantly killed in some maps because of the large amount of AI. And as you may have guessed, the next problem is the completely overwhelming amount of AI that are constantly spawning even though there are the mythic and legendary bosses which are in their own right a pain in the a** to kill. Most of the time in each round is spent trying to kill all the knights that spawn who are difficult to kill and do loads of damage very quickly. Also, because the sheer amount of AI, there isn’t enough time to focus on the bosses and kill them which leads to a loss in most games. (This problem has especially noticeable in the new sanctum map in the last wave when 2 mythic wardens spawn with only about 3 minutes left in the match and there are 30 to 40 nights constantly spawned with lots of other mobs as well.) This will undoubtedly lead to a loss with the insane respawn timer and the basically spawn killing knights. Sorry for such a long post, but its just insane how dumb some of this is.

To me, it just seems like the mobs’ shields are too strong. Also, the respawn timer doesn’t make sense for this game. Sure, they have it in Destiny, but there’s unlimited time in that context. If they just reduced the shields on the mobs and lowered the respawn timer on higher rounds, then the mode would be more balanced.

Timer is definitely an issue. 3rd round I die, 30 second penalty. I spawn in to an enemy shooting me directly in the back, another 30 seconds. I had that repeat on me a number of times. No fun man. Most matches we didn’t get past round 2. I’ll play a bit more but I’m not sure if I’ll be sticking with this mode.

I love how people were complaining how easy the BETA was but now the real game hits and these people cant stop whining about how hard it is, and how there are too many hostile AI. This game is not supposed to be easy, just grow a freaking pair and play it. if you cant handle the difficulty DON’T PLAY! Especaly dont ruin it because you died 37 times.

Just because you find it hard… doesn’t mean it is.
