Firefight V3 Ideas

Here are some ideas I have:

Forgable FF maps: You can forge FF maps and put down things like enemy spawners, “monster closets”, Phantom drop points, etc.

Custom Loadouts: Custom Loadouts will return for FF and FF only.

Flood Fight: The FF War Games Simulation will not only include fighting against Covenant Remnant and Prometheans, but can also include going against Flood.

Play as an Elite: Elites loyal to The Arbiter can now also fight along side or against Spartans in Wargame simulations.

  • Dead Is Dead - no respawning- Maps with unlockable areas and more powerful weapons/vehicles as you advance- in-universe settings - you could play as a fireteam trapped in a city during the human-Covenant war, or an Elite spec ops unit exploring a Forerunner facility, or (if 343 were really ambitious) the Human-Forerunner war- Covenant, Flood, Forerunner, Promethean, and UNSC enemies

There is already “Dead Is Dead” just set it to 0 lives.

More enemies: Covies, Flood, UNSC and Forerunner
Forgeable maps!

I already said forgable maps.

Flood would be a good mode.

I’ve posted this before, but in my opinion Spartan Ops and Firefight should both return as one package.

Spartan Ops should be a smaller, but more focused affair this time around. More or less like the flashback missions of ODST in terms of size and due to production values perhaps a bit more simplistic in the visual department. That way, you’d get a more story centered approach. Also: the missions in H4 were just boring and didn’t lead anywhere. Combine recourses and just deliver on 1 bigger, but more polished level a week.

Each level should then have a certain part in it that can be used as a FF map on its own. Just like was done with the ODST maps that got lifted from the Campaign, and just like how Reach’ maps came from parts of the Campaign.
In other words: have each SO level include 1 or 2 FF stages.

Why this set up?
Because SO loses replay value, but FF inherently has just that. FF could then become the replay value SO never had. Also: this would mean each week would give us a new SO level + 2 new FF maps. When the SO season is over you’ve got maybe 5-6 smaller but better side missions + 10-12 FF maps.

Moving on to FF itself:
For standard FF go back to a ODST styled set up, but also include Reach’ settings to tweak the way you play.
So: fixed number of lives, limited ammo, new round = new skull, more vulnerable feeling.
And next to that the more all-out Reach free for all bullet fest.

tldr;
SO more compact + focused, FF as its replay component, ‘ODST’ style standard, ‘Reach’ style options = best of both worlds and a truly welcome addition to H5.
