Seriously. Who thought it was a good idea to drop Doubles and keep the regular list? It doesn’t have enough voting rounds, the population is extremely low most times, and even when you get 4 people in a lobby it’s laggy as all hell. Half my matches end up doubles or solo anyway from people lagging out or quitting. I’ve been on Reach for 230 DAYS worth of playtime time now. I’m tired of having to quit constantly because they’re aren’t enough voting rounds to get even one of the 3 maps I like, or noobs with almost no FF time vote me into maps I hate. I only play Holdout, Beachhead, and Overlook.
Honestly, I don’t need the help to begin with. People just annoy me. I run Holdout from start to bonus round solo on a regular basis without dying. If people really want 4 player FF, let them go on the Anniversary FF list. The time limit could use another 5 minutes. Getting to the bonus round on Beachhead solo is extremely rare for me, but I’ve done it a few times. Many times, I get the last drop coming in and run out of time. 95% of the people I run into are terrible at FF. I’m tired of setting their “Highest Official Score” with my score alone while they barely break 10k, if they break 10k. I’m not kidding either. I break 100k on Holdout with 1-2 randoms in the match on a regular basis. Then I still see bad kids trying to hide for perfections. I’m not your janitor. Earn your damn commendations and credits.
Then people shoot me because I’m taking all the kills. Half the time, they ruin my Beachhead bonus round because they won’t leave the rocket hog alone. It’s MY bonus round. I carried your worthless -Yoink- through the match, and I want my wheelmans with my 2nd controller gunning that hog.
Oh. You want your challenges? Stay out of firefight unless you’re actually here to play. Go back to matchmaking, and leave firefight to the professionals. You don’t deserve to be in the same lobby with me. I don’t care how good you think you are in matchmaking. Firefight is my domain. Get 469 kills in one match without dying. Then come see me.
p.s. How did the person who came up with Fistfight not think to put the Black Eye skull on? Black Eye on and Catch off would’ve made that gametype worth playing.
To me they should add back FF limited It was a true test of skill not Aracde fight I crown it Noob fight the one time I played FF limited lately they quit out and the teammate I had went negative in FF( omfg) but yeah trying to get 343 to change anything is pointless they do not listen and why the keep supporting Halo 4 which is -Yoink-. why they keep supporting a bad game instead of reviving reach is beyond me they could go in change up the playlist and make it fun again and new but no they continue doing a weekly update in Halo 4 why they do something so stupid is beyond my comprehension
btw I know how you feel my highest killstreak in ff limited was 167 which is in my eyes impressive what do you think

ODST firefight was good. I ran the Endure achievement 4 or 5 times for people (4th set on Heroic). FF Limited on Reach sucks. I won’t play it. The time limit is stupid, the 1 set limit is stupid, and I don’t like the difference in damage between Arcade and Limited. One plasma grenade not breaking the turrets off the phantoms annoys me to no end. I do it in Arcade every drop.
I like Reach FF but it is inferior to ODST’s in every way. I miss Doubles, and I miss having an all-Hunters final round. Even though I’ve never survived one of those rounds it was crazy watching green plasma flying everywhere in the sky.
Till it was removed, FF Doubles was what we played most, so yes, it should return. However, arcade is great for weapons training or just pick up and play for fun, or grind out the daily challenges/cR.
ODST FF is a great game mode, but I doubt it was popular with the masses. It wasn’t till I made it a mission to get all of the FF game achievements that I seriously worked to complete them. Once you learn the maps and tactics, and achieve the level of skill required, ODST FF becomes great fun. Early on, it wasn’t. Besides, I like playing as the always colorful Sgt. Johnson…
I do not understand the nature of this thread, was it to complain about the Reach Firefight matchmaking playlists or to bash anybody who you deem inferior? Because your first sentence started off strong and then the entire post devolved into a “I’m better than everyone else at FF” rant.
I agree that it seemed a strange decision to chop up the Reach playlists, not just FF specifically, but I feel your post could’ve handled it in a more mature way.

When over half the people I play with can’t break 10k in a firefight with me, I’d say I’m justified in calling everyone firefight noobs.

Playing with low rank randoms can be that way. However, if the random is a mid+ rank, there’s a chance he might be working on commendations. High scores are less likely when working on commendations like small arms, automatics, grenades, assists, vehicular, perfectionist, grounded, etc.
Some of the randoms I’ve played with either didn’t care about deaths, they just wanted to charge into battle with the rocket launcher - getting to the bonus round, or they were Inheritors, and wanted to stand in front of you to show off their haunted helmet.
Most times, I try to do everything at once - not die, work on commendations, get to the bonus round.

I make plenty of high ranks look like noobs too. A friend and I have the 3rd highest co-op score on Halotracker, and I’ve put up 178k running Holdout solo.
