Has firefight been officially given the boot yet or has their been no mention at all.

In ODST, it was cool, fun, and challenging. Now it’s just a grind.
Spartan Ops will be replacing it.
That’s harsh I loved it if you had the right teamates. But the playlist became way to arcadey, I also wish they had brought into match making where two of the players were elites and two were spartans

I’m hoping for at least one mission where we’ll get to play on a remake of one of ODST’s firefight maps for a pretty intense wave battle.

They did brefliy it did not work to well.
Spartan Ops will be much better than firefight. There’s so many possibilities for missions. We’ll be playing in so many different environments, possibly even space. This’ll add so much replay value to the game.

Firefight was so repetitive, especially in Reach. But the worst part is that the objective is just to survive. There’s no hope.
Lone Wolf has shown me how Firefight has grown stale and ridiculous.
