Firefight possibility? (Campaign spoilers]

This has spoilers for the later levels so this is just another warning.

In the level when you’re gearing up to fight escharum(might be spelled wrong) there’s this sort of round based fight against enemys. Similar to reach when you’re defending Halseys lab. Playing this part of the level really felt like firefight so maybe it gets reused for a possible future mode?

I noticed that as well, it would be a wasted opportunity if they didn’t follow through with a firefight mode just like that.

With the first month season being heros of reach i was hoping they’d implement a game mode similar. But the most fun about firefight was the medal system which they don’t seem to have

There isn’t even scoring for campaign

I’ll be honest, the pvp only multiplayer modes has put me off rushing and buying infinite (and a current gen console to match). I was pretty fond of even the H5 firefight and the absence of any pve multiplayer pretty much rules me out of getting the game right now as i want more than a campaign alone, i want that long term replayability which firefight gives me

There’s a bot playlist which is kinda like pve

I wish they’d add the Infection/Flood mode and allow extra bots to be added to custom games, while we wait for Firefight.

The first thing I thought playing through those areas was Firefight.

A pve mode is needed and is going to be needed fast to ensure infinite replayability after everyone finishes off the campaign several times….or, they could introduce options in bot boot camp to increase the strength of the bots to increase the challenge but they would also need to increase the XP per match but I am not sure their XP model allows that flexibility akin to mythic vs regular FF in halo5 XP scoring…

That would be good, but I’d like them to make the bots more interesting without just giving them improved accuracy and weapon-gathering.
Better strategies, more personality for each bot, etc.

If it’s possible, maybe they could get the bots to respond to certain words in chat (e.g. “def a” or “cap flag”) and certain movements (e.g. the friendly crouching and standing gesture).
That would be something I don’t think I’ve seen in other games before.
