Then you must be having issues… because I haven’t had issues in a very long time looking for a firefight match. I play daily for hours and don’t have issues. And I play both… I go to Heroic to get my daily win, and then I go to mythic to get xp…

Are you searching on focused balanced or expanded? Also are you searching at off times. For example at 3am the chances of there being lots of players online would be limited.

At the time you posted this it was 4am Eastern, 1am Pacific on a Wednesday night. Probably the lowest possible population time for any game.
Firefight generally has the best population, but you are likely going to run into issues during off peak times for US players.
Whereabouts are you based OP? I’m in a similar boat and made a thread a few days back regarding the same issue.
I’ve since opened a support ticket and have at least been told that if you’re using the Quick Resume feature on the Xbox Series X/S that’ll prevent you from getting games, so you have to fully quit H5 then relaunch it to fix that particular issue. I’m on an Xbox One X myself, so unfortunately the suggestion in my case is irrelevant.

I play late overnights here in the US and can confirm 1-4am PST are the absolutely dead hours, and there can be long breaks of search failures that have last 30 up to 120 minutes even on a somewhat regular basis.
That being said, H2H has been wonderful as with only needing to find one player I have never been able to find a match at literally any time of day. If you are having consistent troubles finding late night matches (for the western sphere that is) then I would definitely recommend trying some Head2Head
I’ve also been having issues finding games every three past few games… I don’t think it’s a population thing as I reset my xbox and found a game next search.
But then at random can’t find games again, some kind of system issue I think.

I personally haven’t experienced this search failure, but it depends heavily on your region and the times at which you play. For reference, I play at times between 1 and 7 PM in EST, and I have a relatively easy time finding matches.

Seems like there’s maybe one game running per playlist.
the big problem i find is the game is oriented towards quitting during the “intermission” then immediately rejoining. I do not understand why “intermission” was added if the idea is to circumvent it by quitting/rejoining. I get a feeling im doing it wrong because while i sit there getting failures the ppl in my last game are in a new match, because they clearly did quit/rejoin
Check your matchmaking settings. Plus, like a few people already said, there are about 4 hours each day when the population is at its lowest. Try playing outside those times. I haven’t had any problems finding a match during days.
Try searching in the evenings with the expanded search. I seem to always get a firefight match during those times.
Search expanded. There is definitely someone playing.
I’ve had to use expanded search for years, always found firefight games… Last few days had problems, doesn’t matter when I search.

I end up joining a party via LFG just to get a game
Same problem for me to it just started happening im in Australia on the original Xbox one
Firefight is the one gamemode I can consistently find matches for, so I hope not. You just have to pick your times.
Iam haveing the same issue I want to get to 152 mr and been farming but today I can’t get a match anywhere bar the odd infection match that’s it, I also keep getting can’t find dedicated servers, and thier may not be enough players to play this playlist, it’s firefight

I’ve had this a few times and had to stick to Mythic Firefight to find any matches.
That may be a problem with your server connection, bc i find teammates almost instantly

It has been a while!
