Which would you guys rather prefer? I wouldn’t mind Spartan Ops if it had different mission diversity like assassination missions or hostage rescues. Think of a kind of Spartan Ops 2.0. It wouldn’t be the same old environments repeated over and over again like OG SpOps. Fire Fight is pretty self-explanatory. Bots would ONLY be in customs.(if you’ve played a gears game, or COD, you’d know this is actually really fun if you set them to max difficulty)
Spartan Ops…
If they would do a better job of the missions than what was in Halo 4.
I did find the cutscenes and further continuation of story interesting though.
I do think Firefight has much better long livity and extends a games lifetime and has in the past been better than spartan ops but if it was one or the other I’d pick ops. The missions were repetitive but there were some gems in there. But really it comes down to the fact that I don’t see these characters stories being advanced in the main game and I’d rather not have to buy a comic or a novel to see how it goes down. I just think they need to bring the narrative closer to the missions and diversify the maps and missions. I’d happily take less missions/ maps for more unique ones.
I’m going to give Spartan Ops a second chance. Season 1 was lackluster and repetitive, but it had potential. I’m not a fan of horde gametypes, so I don’t really like Firefight much. It was still fun, but that got repetitive as well.
