Firefight on Urban sucks

Urban in general sucks. They really should have just gone with Noctus instead. All the rubble makes it difficult to dodge fire in a tank and almost impossible for a team to use multiple tanks. This is easily the worst of the firefight maps by a long shot. They need to scrap it and just use the full map.

The Phaeton round is horrid as the only place to really hide is the garage because of how small the map is. It is doable but the Phaeton round would have been so much better on noctus with the monument in the middle.

The warden 5th round is absolutely absurd. You have to kill 4 solider bosses on top of the armor which takes a little over a minute. Then they spawn about 20 knights in front of the main base. Factor in what I said about how bad the map is for vehicles and you have a time consuming battle. Then, when you finally come across the wardens, they are in the back of the base in positions that can only be hit by one vehicle at a time if you are lucky. Otherwise they are hiding in the hanger and you have to somehow use small arms to kill 2 beefed up wardens and the mythic one. All of this in 5 minutes on a horribly designed map is just awful.

The defend round is pretty stupid as well. It is the 2nd round where most people are Req 2-4. The prometheans spawn at the bottom of the hill in large numbers while the players have to spawn all the way back at the garage after 15 seconds. Trying to stop charging knights, who have scattershots, with only ARs and maybe BRs is so absurdly tough.

The spawning on this map is awful. Your only two vehicle spawn points are either the garage where you will be unloaded on instantly by phaetons, wraiths, banshees, etc or in the main base along side a bunch of enemies who also can shoot you as your vehicle rolls out. Player spawns on some of the rounds put you so far from the objective.

Overall I’d give it a 3/10 only because the covenant rounds are kind of fun.

This map is absolutely terrible. I have won on it once in about 10 matches. It’s not fun at all, and isn’t that the freaking point of a video game? This map isn’t a challenge, it’s just a nuisance. It’s so bad at this point I routinely see players dropping out at the beginning the moment they get this map. Please, for the love of the forerunners, fix this nonsense

It is, which is ridiculous because spamming tanks is pretty much the only way to win a match on Urban.

It would be alot better if the road barriors could move.

A map with actual roads and it’s not vehicle friendly…

Your telling me a couple hundred pound brick can be moved by a tank?

It’s marked easily as the hardest warzone firefight map to win on. All of it’s flaws can be countered however, with a good and organized team almost everything thrown at you can be legit countered, but don’t be surprised when your team can’t handle what’s thrown at them from the simulation.

(Edit) : I do agree about the rubble and blockage though, the Temple Banshee bosses can easily tear up and destroy you. Not to mention when spawning a tank when all of a sudden immediately gets blown away by wraith ultras and banshee ultras that support the two Mythic Wardens at round 5 I think. It does not happen to me fortunately, but I have seen it happen to my teammates.

All the phaetons and banshees kill everything and wraith sniper in back and then you have to kill 3 wardens. I means seriously?!
