In ODST we had Firefight maps that were lifted straight from the Campaign but added day and night variants. In Reach we started with ones straight from the campaign, got a DLC map built from the ground up and more recently we got a Firefight rebuild of part of the second level of Halo CE.
For Halo 4 I would like to see them modify the maps from campaign a little more than they did in ODST and Reach. I would also like to see less maps that appear in the Halo 4. Instead I would like to see maps based on levels from previous games. This way we could play Firefight on modified areas from Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST and Reach. I don’t know about the rest of you but I would enjoy this a lot.
Do you agree? Disagree? Do you have any particular areas from previous games that you would like to see return as Firefight maps?
I would like to see firefight where you have to clear a certain area and do different tasks. Also firefight where you have time limits and things like that. I also have an idea of the mission ‘Halo’ from halo 3 where you had the warthog and everywhere was blowing up and at the same time, there were enemies shooting at you. If that was an endless survival mission and kept on getting harder and harder, it would be so cool. Also stealth firefight missions. They could introduce so much more to make it so much better.
