Firefight: Like odst w/ original maps

I honestly loved firefight in odst. The unlimited waves that got harder each set with weapons that spawn on the map to help you with the battle was great. I miss the whole teamwork based gameplay where you actually had to have setups and prepare for each wave instead of just kill everything.

Halo 5’s firefight should either have unique original maps or it should use campaign locations. I played the warzone maps thousands of time and its old. Give us new scenery and not just the same maps we play on non stop.

Also sets and waves is way better than 5 rounds. I dont know, i just feel like this firefight was put together very lazily.

It would be great to play with reanimation system like the campaign and dont have unlimited respawns on the game … at least one life per player … The sense of survival in ODST should not be left behind , besides this way the game would be more fun in multiplayer … especially for spartan companies…

Please add an “Endurance” mode with no Ending… FML i know … but should be cool something like the Last level on Reach were you fight untill death against many enemies … THAT ON MULTIPLAYER, WITH RANKED SCORE PER PLAYER & COMPANIES…

OMG??? i would wet myself if 343 did this, so looks like im staying dry for a very looooooonnnnng time??? XD

I can think of two good reasons of why this is not going to happen.

  1. The time it would take to create firefight matches would be long and far better suited making Arena or normal warzone maps which are in far higher demand.
  2. This is WARZONE Firefight, not Firefight. Previous iterations of firefight where poorly suited for online matchmaking and where frankly considered dull to a lot of people.

If they added a mode where one could play infinite round more in the vein of traditional firefight I wouldn’t mind, but this gametype we have at the moment is near perfect for what its supposed to be and that is a fun arcadey PVE gametype in which you can use your reqs against the AI.

They were only dull because Bungie missed the point of hordes of enemies in increasingly difficult waves by giving unlimited lives and infinite ammo power weapons.

If you have matchmaking with randoms with zero co-ordination, lives and all dont work. People will troll, tears will fall. For custom games the older versions where fine but this arcade version in halo 5 is much better for matchmaking.

I completely agree with you on this, I want the good old classic Firefight where you fight til the end and survival.

If they give me Overlook and Courtyard to play WZ firefight on I’ll never ask for anything again.
