firefight is way too difficult

ive played about 20 games of firefight now and have only won one, the difficulty of this game needs to be turned down about a billion notches. some of the objectives such as kill 4 LEGENDARY recon pilots while they are way up in the air practically out of reach are ridicules and pretty much impossible, as well as defend the garage when there are like 20 knights with incineration cannons shooting you right as you enter the building. all im asking is that you turn the difficulty way down because its practically impossible to win which is really aggravating when you really want those free gold packs. the beta was so much fun but this is just ridicules.

I agree. It is aggravating when you have 5 minutes to kill 5 Legendary enemies (Warden Eternal included) but it is spawning you on the other side of the map. If you are in a vehicle like the Scorpion, it takes you about 1 minute to get to the bosses. But because the bosses are in a tight spot, or in a space where if you are out in the open you are dead instantly. You can not do enough damage in the time given unless everyone has top tier vehicles, and if no one dies. Because if you die, good luck with a spawn timer of 20 seconds or above. This means that if anyone dies at the end good luck getting back in time to do any damage.

IMO they need to either turn down the difficulty, limit the amount of bosses for the last round, or make you spawn timer 10 seconds or under and spawn you closer. Now not all of these are good ideas. But it Firefight needs something done as it is no fun solo, and a chore with friends.

But when I play solo Firefight, the chances of me winning is around 1/10 games. Now some may say play with friends and it is easier because you can coordinate to take down the bosses. And they are right to an extent, but the enemies are still bullet sponges. I have put 2 entire clips of the DMR into a Knight and he doesn’t even flinch even with his shoulder guards taken off. Yet 2-3 shots on you and you are down for the count.

I think they need to have tiers for Firefight. A Heroic, a Legendary, and a Mythic (the current Firefight) That way people can have a game mode suited to their play level. Now people would use this to get gold packs on heroic as it is easier. So 343 could make it so the chances of getting a gold pack is guaranteed on Mythic, around 50/50 on Legendary, and 25/75 on Heroic.

Can this be done? I don’t know. But I hope I am not alone in saying that Firefight needs to be nerfed or changed.

What if they added more time, like ten minutes on the final round? Two heavily guarded warden eternals appearing with two minutes left on the clock and a few vehicles? Okay not happening

Like the pointless scoring system, all the left over time from previous rounds should add to the timer of the next round.

What if they just made everyone the same req level after each round? That way you wouldnt be hoping somone was a certain level to call something in. Everyone would be the same level so everyone could call something in if needed.

Agreed. It’s gotten ridiculous.

Would help if people learnt how to do all the rounds. Sick of failing on easy rounds like kill 2 wardens on Apex 7 because everyone wants to attack them from the front. Keep your distance from the side and they can be killed with normal warthogs without you ever being shot by them or the knights that spawn.

And for the love of god please dont come and drive me away if I am parked up somewhere shooting enemies from distance.

Every round is possible in this gamemode but people wont learn.

It’s true, a lot of the seemingly-impossible rounds have ways to be made a lot easier. But I wonder how much of it is people not learning, or people just not having enough of the right reqs. Sometimes I lose matches simply because I’m paired up with newer players who probably have no useful vehicles to call in. Even though it’s annoying to have to carry a team, I can’t blame them for being new and not having reqs.

Not pulling REQs when they’re needed is actually a huge problem in my opinion. I’ve lost loads of games simply cause we can’t DPS the final boss enough.

Or you know, if your playing Urban on defend the garage you can literally just crouch OUTSIDE the side window hugging the wall and it will STILL register you as inside.

No clue why this does it, but whenever that shows up i by default do that and dont really shoot enemies. It does stop the timer though so my teammates can kill them though!

If you’re having difficulties overcoming obstacles in WZ-FF you should really rally friend’s together and plan to use your REQ’s effectively. The difficulty is just right, you just need to work together and plan out how you’re gonna eliminate enemies.

Tips:
Use mics.
Bring friends.
Work as one unit or two.
Use damage boost MOD level one with patrol case and pack a low level power weapon. More ammo and damage for that use. Works great when two Spartans have this setup with the Saw.

It helps when players in the group know their role when in a match. If you’re playing with randoms it’-Yoink!- or miss with victory. I don’t want the difficulty to be lowered since we all have the tools in the REQ system to gain a victory.

I’ve been apart of matches where we’ve pulled out a victory in that last 10 seconds in round five more than I could count. So just increase your chances of winning by planning a little. You’ll see the results.

I run into a lot of people who seem unwilling to use their reqs. You can beat all of these maps provided your teammates aren’t stingy and call in the big guns. I wish they would get rid of the timer though. So many times today we were so close to meeting the objective but ran out of time.

I run into that same issue. When I notice players not using REQ’s I hold back. It sucks when you’re using quality REQ’s and then you notice you’re the only one.

Server glitches do not help either. Two days ago the whole team was stuck with level one weapons. We made it to round 4. Last night round 5 was starting, I was waiting for my tank. I looked down at the timer it said 700. I never got into round 5, in Urban. Urban is tough when you come out of the base right in front of a Warden and the other Warden is with in his striking distance.

Git Gud. But in all seriousness I don’t find it that hard, most of the time it was because I ran in without a strategy, or my teammate wasn’t helping. All the times I could blame it on someone, not the game.
