Firefight is amazing, score attack is great and the community is not split from paid DLC. On top of that the new Forge is better than ever before making new content endless. The maps made by the community are mind blowing. Halo 5 is my dream Halo game. Yes, I know, the campaign story wasn’t the best but all other factors are the best in the Halo series. Just the gameplay balance alone keeps me coming back. Keep up the good work 343i! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for Halo.

IMO firefight is impossible without burning some vehicle reqs, but the req point rewards make it worth it. Also the power weapons are crazy underpowered, and there’s some issues with bosses spawning in vehicles in rounds where you simply don’t have enough req levels to do anything about them.
Overall though, it is bloody fun, but it needs balance. I’ve never had this much fun splattering things in a while.
Halo 5 is definitely one of the best halo games by far next to Reach

It’s fun for a few games but I think after you play 5-10 games it starts to show it’s true colours.
Enemies are bullet sponges to accommodate for 8 players with powerful REQs and vehicles. Shooting at a mythic warden with 4 tanks watching a health bar slowly tick down is not exciting or fun. Even the universally praised Grunt Mech is really just a big health sponge with a few special attacks.
Maybe I’m being too cynical or the mode is too juvenile for me but I really think it could be a lot better.

How can you say what he said was an opinion? It was clearly just a sarcastic remark about what I said in the OP. There was nothing constructive about his comment.
This game is now worth so much more than the $60 I paid for. THANK YOU 343! Fantastic job supporting this game!
Whilst I appreciate a positive thread on waypoint, I have to disagree.
Halo 5 has a decent amount of content now, sure, but it’s still lacking compared to Halo 2/3 - there still isn’t any real social aspect to H5 (whereas the other two had social variants of the ranked playlists), we still don’t have Team Doubles or Team Snipers as permanent playlists (both heavily requested since launch), and half the maps in the game are just remixes of other maps.
H5’s campaign still sucks, and score attack can’t change that. The story wasn’t as advertised, the co-op mechanics were underdeveloped and flat-out didn’t work at times, the game was short as hell (8-12 hours? Yeah, right.), you hardly got to play as Chief and the cliffhanger was -Yoinking!- awful.
Also, firefight isn’t perfect (imo). 30-second respawn times are ridiculous, spawns are wayyy too far from the action and some of the bosses are just blatant bullet sponges. Still fun though.
As a side note: May I remind you that a lot of the content added post-launch for free (to ‘not split the community’) is stuff that should’ve been in the game to begin with. BTB and Forge, staples of the Halo franchise, should not be classified as “free DLC” or “expansions”, they should be a necessity.
Also doesn’t have splitscreen, which stops it being the best Halo for some (I’d imagine). I know a lot of Halo fans who didn’t buy the game because of the lack of splitscreen. There’s also a large community who enjoy playing as elites, but that still isn’t in the game.
Like I said, I do appreciate a positive thread on waypoint though, but I think we should find a balance between the pointless whining (that is a decent portion of the waypoint forums) and blind worshipping.

I’m sorry for my nonconstructive post, I’m terrible with sarcasm. What I wanted to say is that I simply disagree with what you said and that’s just my opinion. Halo 5 to me only exists as a platform for MS to turn a profit and it just shows everywhere I look. I don’t get the impression that 343 even cares about longtime fans anymore but only for people that spend money REQ packs. They let the MCC rot and they expect us to believe that they care about Halo, -Yoink-. Each 343 developed Halo released with less content than the last. You are fully entitled to your opinion, but I just hate to see people having any sort of love or compassion to the guys that are willing to sacrifice everything that made Halo great for micro-transactions.
Idk I really like the new gameplay but the campaign was such a disappointments for me warzone firefight is way too hard like when they ask you to kill two eternal sponge with only req of level 3 and ia that keep spawning behind you like hell no its impossible.Odst firefight was hard but in a good way no bullet sponge boss every round and reach you could customize it like you wanted and most importantly play offline.The number of gamemode are lackluster like where is action sack you know social thing…The armor customisation is a downgrade compared to halo 4 and reach and that all my complains.the best forge in halo I hope it will stay in the same level in halo 6 ps sorry if my english is off I still learning.

Cmon dude… Every game is meant to turn a profit. That’s why people make them and other people get paid to work for the companies that make them. Your point is so irrelevant that it doesn’t deserve a response but I had to because it was just so wrong!

You call them out as “video game snobs” who waste their time complaining yet you do nothing to prove their points wrong. Is it now a crime to want a game with the same amount and quality of content that has existed before? The argument that it’s stupid to be mad at a game because it can’t be changed is one of the worst arguments I’ve ever heard. If people didn’t speak out about the shortcomings of Halo 5, a lot of the content in the game wouldn’t even be here.
Only thing I want in FF are some random ammo crates scattered about the map for easier access to ammo. I keep running low and REQ stations are behind more enemies!
