Firefight is meant to be hard.. Keep it that way!

There are already people posting about how hard firefight is because they didn’t beat in in their first three attempts. This is a good thing! Why would you want it so easy you can beat it eberytime you play it? There is no sense of accomplishment from working with your team to emerge victorious if it’s too easy. 343i please don’t listen to these people that want everything given to them. These are probably the same people that don’t have jobs and depend on their parents for everything including their Xbones and Halo. Firefight was very hard when it was first released with ODST amd that’s the way it is meant to be. Waves of enemies increasing in difficulty and challenge until it’s basically impossible. That’s why when you beat it using team work it feels so greatt! That’s why you get such huge req rewards upon completion. The people complaining just want the REQ rewards given to them. I repeat do not listen to them 343i!!!

Agreed. With the amount of rewards it gives out, it should be hard as hell. And besides, if you can coordinate with a team, you can win.

Challenging > easy

in the end, I’m more likely to keep trying something if it’s difficult and I DON’T beat it every time than of I don’t try and breeze through it.

Most round are fine, but some rounds are near to impossible. The 3 Wardens in the Homebase are a nightmare since you can’t get any vehicles to them while you have to take them down in under 3 minuted because of the bullet sponge bosses that spawn outside prior to them.
Then when you die you have to wait 30 seconds only to have to run another 40 seconds from the Armory to the Homebase.

Thank you, I swear all people do is complain. Firefight is meant to be a challenge not an exp exploit.

It’s hard, but it’s a fun hard. It doesn’t need changing (except from 3 wardens in the home base at once). I like it, and all o he free packs for failin is nice

Lol me and a couple other players managed to get two tanks and a phaeton inside.

I’m waiting for it to finish updating then jumping on! Can’t way for a challenge!

Without getting blown up by the minions around them? Or without being EMP’d by the Wardens? While still being able to get shots off at them?
You must’ve had some luck by your side.

I disagree. It’s not challenging, it’s just cheap. Having Bosses that are just bullet sponges that are designed so you can only kill them with REQ weapons and/or vehicles is nothing to be proud of. Warzone Firefight has no creativity in it’s gameplay like Halo 3: ODST and Reach had. No skulls, no lives, no weapon drops. Just REQs and stupidly overpowered bosses.

I have no problem with it being hard, but some of the objectives are borderline impossible.

I haven’t got to play it yet, but I agree
Firefight should definitely be a challenge. However, from my understanding, and from my experience with the beta, the bosses are a bunch of bullet sponges. Bullet sponge enemies do not equal difficulty. All they do is increase annoyance and frustration. But, combine them with the idiotic respawn timers as the game progresses, and I can understand where people are coming from.

I’m looking forward to playing it when I get home, but I already know what to expect and I really, really hope I’m wrong… just this one time I want to be wrong about my assumptions on something that 343 has done.

At least ODST’s firefight didn’t affect my win loss ratio.

But after playing a few matches I’m coming around. Firefight isn’t too hard in and of itself. My only concerns are: The Wardens spawning in the main base and enemy accuracy.

The first hinders some vehicular DPS which is almost essential to downing a group of wardens. I’ll need to experiment and find a good way to beat this because a base can only hold so many scorpions yet I can only grab so many limited ammo power weapons before needing a recharge.

The accuracy is a slight concern because enemy infantry can soak up my bullets AND return fire with excellent accuracy for probably a good 100 or so meters. I feel a SLIGHT adjustment to non boss enemy accuracy and reactivity would allow for slightly more interesting trash mob clearing while leaving bosses powerful. This would also help (just a tad) with some of the rather massive waves of enemies that spawn, helping with evasive maneuvers.

But overall, I think the challenge is nice. A SLIGHT adjustment to non boss enemy accuracy I feel would really help balance the difficulty curve against trash mobs and boss minion armies, while still allowing for large numbers of enemies and strong bosses.

I agree! I enjoy the need for teamwork, strategy, and communication. If you don’t like it, go play -Yoinking!- Cookie Clicker or some -Yoink-.

Hopefully the difficulty scares off those players You know the ones, they literally add nothing to the game. They don’t contribute anything, die constantly, and expect the other players to carry the game for them, they won’t use their powerful REQ cards (out of sheer greed or fear of losing them) and genuinely don’t put any effort into the game.

If you’re playing like this please change also please use your mic for the love of Halo. Communication is essential for success.

Agree, I like how it is. Yeah they need to work on somethings, that Promethean Mantis spawning in the garage is the number one on my list.

I love how it is. I hated Reach’s firefight and never played ODST’s for long (though I did enjoy it). I could play Warzone Firefight for hours and I did just that today.

I used to be you haha. Now I just want to play. i want to shoot things and blow up things. I want to run into a group of crawlers and see how many I can take out before I die, or see how many I can splatter with a hog. I don’t really care if I win every round. i stopped caring several hundred matches ago. I just want to have fun, not wipe the sweat off the controller after the match. Sure sometimes I put my tryhard pants on and I HAVE to win, but i hoped FF would be a fun goof off mode where I could have mindless fun. i guess it ain’t gonna happen.

The thing is, that the players are not equipped to fight some of the bosses yet, for example one time I was pitted against 3 pheatons when we only had ARs, and that was round 1. Another time is when we had to fight 5 tundra mantises, at req lvl 4. Good luck trying to kill five mantis and its saw wielding followers in time with a BR.

Yes it’s difficult to win, but it’s not like when you lose you get smacked around the whole game. Even the losses are still fun games, you just run out of time. And I think all of the losses my team and I took could have been avoided by better teamwork. I’ve gone 1-5 in 6 matches, but that 1 was a pretty sweet victory.

I have to agree with you there, its fun either way, win or lose.
