“Spartan Ops is a planned episodic cooperative campaign.”
Would you guys like to see firefight turned into a spartan ops mission. It would be a more stripped down version of firefight similar to ODST, so no user customisation.
This would still allow for players to fight against endless wave of enemies for 20 or so minutes rather than just a select amount. The mission could be something like “Defend this point Spartans, we need to hold off the covenant so that repairs can be completed on the pelican”.
Also if the spartan ops gameplay doesn’t allow for skulls, during the game you could get messages from your commander saying how ammo is becoming low (famine) or that the covenant are now sending in the big guns (thunderstorm).
Well, while I don’t think Spartan Ops will be like Firefight overall, I DO have a feeling some of the missions will be ‘fight several waves of enemies,’ similar to Firefight.

I think that they will implement it as well, firefight is a large part of the reach community that they can’t ignore, however reading the names of the first season missions none of them sound to much like firefight. And with the time between seasons many firefight fans would like to see atleast one mission in each season.
I think it will be pretty likely there will be a missions like: Spartan team Omega, you’re going in to capture a Promethium communications array once under your control plant the explosive charges and await Evac.
Or
Download the encrypted covenant data feed and escape, Hack into the Forunner ruins ect ect.
In these types of missions it would be almost certain you will going up against waves of enemies.

In those circumstances it still sounds like there is a limit to how many waves. It would be better if it was endless enemies but after 20 mins you can choose to go on the pelican or keep fighting.
This would be a problem on xbox-live however and you would have to put in a system where if one persons jumps on the pelican the spartan ops mission ends for everyone.
