So, I’m a big fan of Halo: Reach and I love the firefight mode in it. In Halo 5: Gaurdians, the sort of brought it back through warzone, but I think it would be cool if 343 brought back the firefight style from reach. What do you guys think?
Wouldn’t mind classic firefight returning for customs. Being able to choose what to spawn and the loadouts was great. I like war zone firefight too because the objectives and bosses are a nice variation to the gamemode which is a welcome return for matchmaking imo
But what if we can actively change what enemies spawn with (i.e. giving grunts plasma rifles or spawning squads of them with fuel rods for the lulz) and even choose bosses to spawn.
But then let’s take it a step further and be able to forge maps and set spawn zones for Ai and create general pathways for them to follow.
I would LOVE for firefight to come back. Had so much fun with it in Reach.
Firefight is one of my favorite modes
Agreed
ODST’s Firefight enable skulls after a set is completed Reach is exactly lacking that option and they should bring back this.
In both games (ODST and Reach) only a couple of enemies actually track and follow the player instead of all of them together and without the need to perform any action (but shooting may prompt an enemy or more to inspect closer, avoid that in Reach) , really they should disable that obvious nerf.
343 should take the Mammoth from Halo 4 to eleven and make a map with a giant vehicle as the only base that players can control and drive around map built to let the vehicle move around freely, just for the rule of cool (my last game on Sand Trap in Halo 3 was almost, if not on the Elephant the entire time, people like that it seems) .
And players should be able to store stuff inside without having anything despawning if they are left alone for too long, having to pick up the Fuel Rod Gun to prevent a despawning is plain annoying (and it get worse in ODST when the bonus round kicks in and decide to spawn a lot of them on Grunts, also carbines since it’s easy to reach the cap) .
