Firefight in H5, can be improved for infinite

Some of the things I don’t like are.

  1. Long and boring load in / load out cinematic scenes (nice at first, but then became waste of time… especially now during “the grind”)
  2. Being re-spawned so far away from the action… especially after a long re-spawn time (round 5 for example).
  3. No waypoint to the action, sometimes having to walk around for ages looking for the pockets of fights
  4. Spawn a vehicle or weapon in round 5, don’t even reach the action and game finished, the req is lost
  5. Boss’s being inaccessible to vehicles (inside buildings)
  6. Time spent in general just wandering around maps not actually fighting
  7. If you want to play a boost card but also want to quickly go to bathroom, grab a drink…you got to wait until last cut scene has finished, then select boost…limited time to run away and do something. Boosts could be selected for all games, and auto load until manually changed or depleted.
  8. The killing loads of enemies in a single grenade, vehicle strike, fuel rod magazine…it’s fun. Let’s have massive waves of easy enemies… grunt-a-geddon is the sort of thing. Don’t spawn 5 crawlers in a spot…spawn 200, and another 200 somewhere else - make it mental.

It should be a survival mode. Yes fighting against waves of enemies that become stronger. But it should be a challenge. You should feel you’re at a last stand fighting till the death.
Halo Reach firefight had great customization and that should be kept, but it was too easy in matchmaking, it didn’t felt like survival, more like targeting practice.

Gears horde is a great example of fighting for survival.

If Firefight is is kept in Halo infinite, I doubt it will be the same as how Halo 5 did it. It is am extension of Warzone mode in Halo 5 which was reliant on the Requisition system. I have my doubts of Reqs returning due to how heavily panned it was by fans. I can imagine them having it a little more survival-ish (if that makes sense) like how they did in Halo Reach. Or maybe something entirely different, 343 Industries isn’t afraid to experiment with new concepts which I appreciate about them. One thing I beleive that would improve firefight is having the flood appear, that is, if they appear in the campaign.

An improved version of REACH firefight would be good

Ohh yeah I’d love to see a mode like this…something like an “gruntpocalypse”…it’s fun to shoot those little guys in the face ahahah
