I don’t hate this new firefight, but it’s definitely not firefight. This really just feels like Warzone without the other team and solely going for AI kills. And I’m not digging the 8 player setup. Bigger isn’t always better. ODST firefight was about survival. Being under siege. Halo 5 firefight is simply running from target to target to score points. The enemy doesn’t even try to hunt you down. They just sit and wait for you, like in Warzone. I never felt in danger, under siege, on the run, or that feeling of dread like when the brute chieftains would drop with a pair of golden hunters in ODST. I could go in to great depth, but I think I got the general idea across for anyone that played ODST or Reach firefight.
Halo 5 firefight isn’t a bad gametype really, it’s just not a true firefight mode. They should have called it something else. I’m sure allot of people will like this game mode, but it’s not what I was looking forward to in firefight though. Stick with ODST or Reach of you want a true firefight experience.
Well it is WARZONE firefight. Which is wh y alot of people prefer they release with two gamemodes, Warzone Firefight and Warzone Firefight Survival, where you survive the longest through waves, like normal firefight

Then you’ve never tried to get behind cover while your shields are down. Half a dozen enemies come out to kill you. They succeed.

Oh cmon now, no need to get like that. What kind of comment is that? I never said I never have to use cover when my shield were down. I’m simply stating my opinion. I never feel in danger really. If you go back and play ODST, you’ll see what I mean. That firefight had plenty of $h!t hitting the fan moments. This one does not. Again, not bashing this game mode. It’s just not firefight.

I feel you penguin. I know the feel. We just need a survival gamemode for firefight. And some dark maps sort of with rain and thunder
And yes I completely agree we need some ODST ai’s by our side!
I feel like fewer enemies and maybe only 4 players would be a better setup. As it is now, it is just people boosting around in ghosts running over whatever gets in their way.
The 3rd wave is really stupid. It says to defend the garage, yet the enemies spawn right inside of the stupid place and you spawn pretty far outside. Might as well make us assault it rather than defend. Firefight should be us holding the base or fortress against waves of enemies.
I don’t like having to hunt down every last grunt or crawler. It is an ok start but it isn’t firefight.
