Firefight Forge!!??

Who thinks this is a good idea…

  • Forged maps with the ability to turn them into firefight maps like a custom game option. Eg. select where enemies spawn in from, can be spawn zones, drop pods etc… which enemies they will be, and design specific areas for them to occupy. You can also edit their behaviour to be more aggresive etc… Honestly this idea gives me shivers as we’d be able to design firefight to be exactly like it was in reach, a SURVIVAL mode and not shooting at thousands of enemies aimlessly.

It wouldnt be so difficult to design and I think its an amazing idea.

Thoughts?

This would be almost impossible to do in this point in time. Especially on a console.

Not to mention Firefight isn’t even in the game.

I dont think it would be that difficult… in halo 5 they could incorporate this mode. Combining forge with firefight would but leaving a forge seperate as well for other custom games obviously, would be so cool I would play halo 24/7 if they did this

It would be extremely difficult. I don’t know if you’ve ever done coding/programming before, but believe me, if it was possible on the 360 it have would be very poor performance even if it was possible.

It COULD be done on a next gen console, but even then, it would be very difficult to set up.

Would it be difficult to add only enemy spawn points in forge?

After playing that spartan ops mission on ragnarok, I imagined that it was possible.

But as others said, it’s DEFINITELY a hardware issue. It’s hard enough for the xbox to render the objects in forge maps. Put some AI in there, and it definitely wouldn’t work.

It would be really awesome for the new xbox though. You’d be able to setup some really creative scenarios.
