If There’s a 343 Dev here, please take a moment to read this.
The current theater present in Halo 4 only caches multiplayer films, and Halo 4 is perfectly capable of firefight. My suggestions are to develop a theater lobby that caches all sessions, a firefight lobby with a set of firefight maps (can be Spartan Ops maps but modified for all assets to be loaded) complete with firefight options so we can play the way we please.
A last suggestion, a huge firefight map based on a dogfight scenario, fly as either a Sabre or a Broadsword into a swarm of Covenant Banshees and Phantoms and possibly other surprises.
Theater should indeed be extended to all other game modes. Why this is not in campaign really is odd to say the least.
But simply including Firefight might be a lot more problematic than you think. I’m not sure if they can make a more static variation of Spartan Ops (IE: time limit, no objectives + infinite/set amount of waves) in the code of the game.
I don’t know why they didn’t do so from the start. Not that I’m that big of a Firefight fan. I really think SO is great. Flawed, but great fun.
But the levels themselves have little replay value. It would have been nice if there would’ve at least been a Firefight “light” mode.
Just the maps from Spartan Ops, a few adjustable settings (time, number of waves, difficulty, skulls) and acting as a sub part of Spartan Ops.
Like I said, I doubt it will happen in H4. But in H5 it wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Yeah. Does anyone know when the theater thing will be fixed? Cause from what I’ve heard its supposed to include SO and Campaign already?
And having a firefight ‘light’ mode would be very ineresting. Like being able to change some settings in a spartan ops game or something. It would definitely apeal to more people than just having regular SO and Multiplayer.
Maybe add in a co-op campaign playlist, like in reach, while they are at it.
