Because we obviously know the game is very unstable, along with the forge, coop, basic gamemodes missing. Oh let’s not forget they spent no time improving the server and matchmaking with btb bug and desync still around. “True” Halo fans should complain about 343’s incompetence
A couple thousand unhappy people out of a few million is still a minority.
Except the majority of people on the forums are unhappy. We can take this knowledge and assume that most of the community feels the same.
(and it is more than a couple thousand, I’ve seen polls with hundreds of thousands of participants)
Of course they are. The people that are happy with the game are playing the game. They have no reason to visit the forums. People literally only come here to complain. That or talk about lore in that sub.
There’s an upper limit here too. There will be, by the end of Halo Infinite’s live service lifespan, a finite number of unlockable cosmetics. Only there’s no gameplay advantage to any store purchases like with the REQ system. I have my criticisms as well but overall, I’m very happy with the monetization scheme here.
Yes there is an upper limit, but you have to log on EVERY DAY to collect everything…
that and you have Twitch Prime BS and other promo-stuff you have to somehow buy.
Sure, and that can be a bit of a pain in the butt, but I find it acceptable.
I will accept it once they adopt a better shop system.
Instead of copying Fortnite, why not copy Ghost Recon Breakpoint?
Erehwon’s Shop provides plenty of cosmetics you can buy with in-game currency.
And there is a separate shop that offers packs and bundles you pay IRL money for.
Battle-Passes can still be a thing, but this would be a far more agreeable shop since items are available 24/7 so if you miss out on a day or week, you don’t lose anything.
Perhaps some items will have a daily or weekly discount price to keep things interesting?
And perhaps take a page from Rainbow Six Siege where you can spend money on booster-packs to give you more in-game credits per match, with an added bonus further for every victory?
That is the ideal shop system.
The business still gets money and players don’t feel as cheated.
No, every game’s majority of players never touch the online forums or such. Guess that means CyberPunk 2077 is a good game because the majority don’t visit the forum and complain, huh?
Couldn’t tell you. Never played it.
Ok dude, stop trolling. Everyone knows CyberPunk 2077 was a failure
Apparently I’m trolling for forming opinions of my own instead of just going with what the media says lol. If that’s the case, cyberpunk is a great game apparently as it’s listed as having mostly positive reviews on Steam.
Whatever dude. Keep trolling
Keep burying your head in the sand.
Cyberpunk 2077 was a fantastic game, just cause it launched broken on last gen consoles doesn’t mean it should be discounted for what it is. If you have a modern machine that can run it, it’s a fine time.
separate the art from what it can run on and all that~
The game lost 800k players from the launch on steam in Jan 21’. Way more than what Infinite lost. That didn’t happen because it was broken on last gen consoles
It’s a single player game? People beat it and… moved on lol
Look, I really like Cyberpunk, and I played it on a Series X where there were no performance issues what so ever. I definitely think the game shouldn’t have been released on last gen hardware, but that isn’t the reason for all the bugs.
For sure it had bugs but so did skyrim, gta5, etc
It just sucks to see people never give a game with a good story a shot because of the negative press it gets.
I have a beefy PC, the only bugs I encountered were pretty minor, IE the wonky police spawns and the random vehicles cart wheeling outta nowhere at mach speed.
But I thoroughly enjoyed the story and characters!
I gave it a shot. Could’ve been a great game but they failed
Didn’t know people beat games within a month, especially 90% of the playerbase
