Fire whoever had that boost+sp-charge idea.

It is beyond me why 343i thought that having a speedbost+spartan charge one hit kill mechanic in the game would make any sense at all.

The second i read about this change in the patchnotes, i knew that this will be abused to the limit. And wouldn’t you know it? I WAS GODDARN RIGHT!

I just played two matches with only one friend in my lobby and we got paired against a fireteam (bad enough already). But the worst thing is that they all used speedboost. And they used it right from the get go, since you can call that bs in at req 2. that does not only mean that you can call it in instantly, you can also call it in, suicide kill 2 enemies, die, and call speedboost in again.

Oh and i don’t even want to talk about what happends when you combine the whole thing with the enhanced thrusters armor mod, which lets your shield recharge while sprinting.

343, i’m not really asking to fire the people who came up with this, just please overthink the whole thing. You should know best that people abuse the -Yoink- out of everything they can get.

Boost and Spartan charge are amazing. Stop complaining. It’s a lot of fun.

A decision you don’t appreciate should not get someone fired… we need to adapt. If we play better, we can kill those who do so.

Its not like its hard to kill the person w/ speed boost anyway

I’ve had good fortune jumping over potential chargers before they can lock on. Give it a shot!

Can’t you just, I don’t know, thrust out of the way? Seems like a good idea to me.

Nothing wrong with it, plus I find joy of using max speedboost+sword (vorpal Talon) and charge for some grand slams

I find that it makes Speed boost a worthwhile power up. Otherwise it’s more fodder to sell back.

lol man SC is my favorite ability out of every HALO game because melee was always favorite mechanic.

I was recently burned by this, had a Prophets Bane and was approaching an Amory on Darkstar. Then all of a sudden, an enemy speeds out of the armory, charges and kills me. I was able to press the trigger with a red reticule before the charge hit me, but it didn’t matter. It really doesn’t seem right for a mythic weapon to come in second to the boost + charge.

I’m not a physics major here, but if you hit something a much higher velocity, shouldn’t it have a much greater impact?

That’s true, but the force is equal on both objects, and I had an energy sword which he should have impaled himself on, so there’s really no good reason why the sword lost in this scenario.

Come on bro we are in the same company. We need spartan charges FOR THE COMPANY.

If we don’t speak up we will get halo 4 again

Agreed (but not with the firing part) Spartan charge is the worst ability ever introduced to the halo franchise (opinion)
To combine it with speed boost to create a one hit kill is just ridiculous.
maybe just limit it to wz and keep it out of arena?

Well putting in the logic here, if your running at top speed and have a boost to make you go even faster, that would equal a much stronger kinetic force hence it would be a one hit kill.

Science aside, if anyone is going to get fired because of this reason, it should be physics. Good luck with that.

it’s also unbalanced and cheap. Spartan Charging has always been dumb but making it an instant kill in Warzone with speedboosts (which only cost 2 reqs and everyone has 1000 of) is ridiculous.

This is a videogame.

All of these people that are saying doge it and thrust out of the way don’t know what they are talking about. You can’t dodge it for multiple reasons. The first being that the Spartan charge has ridiculous magnetism and even if you actually jump over it you will still get hit. Also by the time they are right up to you, you wont actually be able to react in time to because of the speed boost. Please someone in their right mind tell me that Spartan charge takes skill; its not possible to. I’ve noticed that the only people that like it are the people that abuse it and overuse it. To add more evidence that this takes no skill I’ve noticed that the lower you go in rankings the more people that panic splinter and SPARTAN CHARGE. Please tell me what Spartan charge actually does for the game that’s positive and isn’t just for noobs.

that’s have a look at this shall we. We have to be a lot better than someone to beat them even though what they have/can do takes a lot less skill. What a joke.
