I don’t just want a copy/paste of Firefight.
I want a non-linear version of Spartan Ops from Halo 4.
I want to be able to have a story and a bot mode. Kind of how DICE is handling Star Wars Battlefront’s hoard mode.
They should allow us to approach the objective in many ways, with minor impacts on the story (Don’t want to split the canon in two).
Lets say we decide to approach the objective stealthily by bypassing the enemies and not being seen, this ends up with a different outcome to if we went in guns blazing. The stealthy approach would result in more door opening and maybe trying to bypass locks and puzzles. Where if we went the latter approach we would end up with more battles. Both options should be equally as challenging.
At the end we should be greeted with a slightly different ending, maybe a different dialogue or cutscene.
This would also extend the longevity of the game, people will want to get both endings. Honestly, firefight will get repetitive and boring, but it still would be cool. If was to be included, I would appreciate the option to include enemies not seen in the campaign such as the flood or brutes.
