First of all my apologies if this is not the correct place to ask this, I’m new and confused at the moment
I recently finished the Halo 3 campaign and after all the cutscenes I even got the message of thanks for playing. However there was no scene involving the chief and cortana showing the breaking up of the forward unto dawn which I had heard was going to happen from friends, and after I returned to the menu screen it just said resume solo game and it would take me back to the beginning of the final level again.
I’ve played through it once again and the same thing has happened. I figured that there would be some sort of level select screen so I could go back and play through levels as I planned on playing through on higher difficulties and getting achievements, but I don’t see one. Did I do something wrong or is it a glitch (the disk is devoid of scratches and its a brand new xbox 360?
Don’t know whats going on and any help would be appreciated.
The scene is after the credits; you have to watch them to see it. There’s also an additional scene after that, if you finish the game on Legendary.
It’s been a while since I’ve looked at Halo 3’s main menu, but there should be an option for “Campaign”, where there’s a mission select. Just a note, you can’t start from a Rally Point if you want the levels to count on higher difficulties.
Chief and Cortana never made it back to Earth. In every Halo game, there is an epilog after the credits. So hope you have patients if you want to know.
Below the resume solo game, there should be the list of options that goes…
Campaign
Matchmaking
Custom Games
Forge
Theater
Clicking the Campaign option below “Resume game” will give you the options…
Switch Lobby
Network: (and if you’re connected to live) Xbox Live
Mission: (the mission you have selected)
Difficulty: (the difficulty you have selected)
You should be able to control what mission you would like to play through here, if for some reason this doesn’t seem to be working, I’d be willing to try and help on Xbox. My Gamertag is SIP Wolf if you can’t get it to work for you.
As for the scene, like it was said. That scene you’re looking for is after the credits which start after Bungie’s thank you, and that scene will only show up if you have the Difficulty set to Legendary.

I beg to differ about having to do it on Legendary I actually saw it when i did it on Easy so it probably has to be done on Legendary or Easy, lol big differance but it did happen.
It is Halo 3’s Legendary Ending you are talking about. You can’t start at rally points, but you can go through just that level on Legendary to get it, rather then doing the whole thing.
