How is 343 gonna respond to the people who say " I thought we finished the fight ,why is there a halo4".
Is 343 gonna say “START A NEW FIGHT!!!”. Or “The fight is far from over” from the thrusday war.

We finished the fight against the Covenant/Flood. That doesn’t mean there are no other threats in the galaxy.
> We finished the fight against the Covenant/Flood. That doesn’t mean there are no other threats in the galaxy.
Exactly.
This is why we have the United Nations Space Command.
I know there are other threats in the galaxy. The flood and covenant are still a threat.
I mean sense bungie put the whole finish the fight in their marketing and sense regular people think we stopped the covenant in halo 3 and now there in halo 4.
I know its a seperate fraction from the covenant, but it has the same species,to regular people they’ll think “were still fighting the covenant WTF”
“That was the Human-Covenant War.”
Next question?

Exactly this, the NEW-FIGHT your starting is the ‘Ancient-Enemy’ that we the Halo Fans been curious about since we first met Guilty Spark back in CE.
No -Yoink- it was the human-covenant war but we are still fighting the same group of individaual species for the past 6 games and even though this new fraction has different view points, goals, religion and reason for hating on humans etc. we are still fighting the same group of alien species as we have for the past 6 games. They are used and washed up.

I don’t think you comprehend what people are trying to tell you. They were marketing the final bout between the covenant and the humans and they did just that. You see the group as the covenant fall into disarray and branch out like what usual groups do when their faction has been torn apart.
Granted we are still fighting the same species but you have to remember, the main enemy here is not the covenant anymore. They may be a threat, but a primary threat? Far from it. A new bigger, badder and ancient threat has revealed itself, and that’s what this trilogy is being marketed towards. The whole, finishing this fight bit we saw in halo 3? It followed through. The fight was finished, but the plot still continues. I don’t see what the problem. Mind enlightening me?
If we finished the fight why did Bungie leave us a friggin cliffhanger
World War I was called the War to End all Wars and it doesn’t seem that we have had any conflicts with anyone since then so yeah I could agree with OP (Being severely sarcastic)
Don’t patronise OP, he has a point. My girlfriend likes halo and as far as she’s concerned, we beat the covenant so naturally it wouldnt make sense to some people that the species we beat are still in the game. OP wasnt even referring to this, he was just asking what 343i’s excuse might be if people ask why the fight isn’t finished. give the guy a break.
