Finished the campaign on legendary before the nerf

Just curious as to who has finished the campaign on Legendary solo before the nerf happend. I know warden trio was my most frustrating moment in Halo history. How about you?

What nerf?

I finished it before the update.

I skipped that fight with a couple jumps. I can imagine it was painful, though, considering the other encounters I had to turtle to beat.

Overall the game was fun on legendary, IMO, but the boss fights (same boss every time) was an absolute shame to the Halo name. Zero creativity.

Beat the game on Legendary on day release, the warden fight took about 2 hours? Haha Co-Op makes AIs have increase damage also so it made it alot harder.

I did it on legendary before the update, it’s not that hard, only the 3 wardens, i did warden fight on heroic and skipped them on legendary

I did it on legendary solo before the nerf. Tricky but still enjoyable apart from warden fights.

Cool. Did it legendary before the update for the nonexistent reward. That’s ok though really not that bummed as it was the easiest halo on legendary I have played and before you go criticizing me check my record I have completed halo CE through halo 5 and reach all on legendary.

I did it solo back in January, but the achievement didn’t unlock for me, despite both in game and the service record on Waypoint saying otherwise.

I really don’t feel like taking the time to redo the whole campaign again. I was nice enough to try the first, last, and the 3 walking missions again to no luck.

I did.

I did legendary before the release. It was frustrating, but no more then Halo 2’s jackel snipers or the prophet fight. I think it took me 3 or 4 tries though. Luckily there are plenty of weapons and checkpoints to be had throughout the fight. Otherwise, it would have been much worse.

I honestly had a harder time with the first warden due to the relative lack of weaponry and a poor checkpoint.

I did it before but skipped the 3 wardens.

This sounds like me lol. I was doing ok up until that first Warden fight, ended up being stuck on it for hours. The triple Warden fight was pretty bad as well but once I realised there was power weapons all over the place it became a bit easier.

I like that there was Boss fights in Halo 5 but damn some variety would be nice next time, not Warden Eternal over and over.

I finished it before the nerf as well. Honestly, it wasn’t really that bad, especially after having played through Halo 2 legendary several times. You just have to learn to take things slowly. If things aren’t working a certain way, you have to try it another.

Still, the three Wardens battle was frustrating. I think it took me almost an hour to get through it. As for the other Wardens, I found it easier than I did playing through Heroic the first time. I guess I knew what to expect?

Really this matters? OK then yeah I finished it solo the first week the game launched.

I completed it on Legendary pretty much at release.

> What nerf?

> - Reduced two-player difficulty slightly
> - Increased single player difficulty slightly
> - Made Warden attacks a little easier to dodge, particularly on lower difficulties
>
> - Face Beam tracks moving targets less accurately
> - Gravity Bomb has less homing
> - Melee attack has slightly less range
>
> - Made the Warden slightly easier to kill from the front
> - Reduced AI Focus Turret damage output
> - Reduced AI Storm Rifle, Suppressor and Light Rifle effectiveness
>
> - AI Storm Rifle: fires in shorter bursts, projectiles spread out more and move more slowly. Jackals are now less effective than Elites with the Storm Rifle
> - AI Suppressor: fires in longer bursts, projectiles have less homing. Crawlers are now less effective than Soldiers with the Suppressor
> - AI now fire shorter bursts with the Light Rifle
>
> - Increased AI Plasma Pistol, Needler and Beam Rifle effectiveness
>
> - AI Plasma Pistol: slightly higher accuracy and damage
> - AI Needler: AI now fire longer bursts (i.e. can now supercombine players on Heroic and above), slightly higher damage
> - AI Beam Rifle: slightly more damage (mostly this will make it a two-shot kill instead of a three-shot kill in Heroic single player, allowing Jackal Snipers to actually kill a player from time to time)
>
> - Added a “tackle” animation to Sword Elites – shoutout to Pat Gillette for making the sweet sword tackle animation
>
> - Instead of stopping to swing at a moving target they can swing on the move
>
> - Increased Elite, Elite Officer and Soldier Officer durability
> - Reduced Soldier -Yoink!- frequency
> - Killing a Crawler now deals area-of-effect damage to all nearby enemies, softening them up or killing them outright
> - Reduced frequency of Squad AI getting killed while in a gunner’s turret in a player’s vehicle
> - Made being killed by an attached Plasma Grenade non-revivable, similar to lethal damage from a Binary Rifle
> - Increased AI special ability chance with higher player count in co-op games, e.g. Plasma Pistol overcharge, grenade throw
> - Increased AI promotion chance with player count in co-op games
>
> - i.e. in cooperative games you will encounter more high-ranked enemies where promotion paths exist (most noticeable with Grunts, Elites, Jackals and Crawlers)
>
> - The first player to press the “Call for Help” now has priority, other players will have to wait their turn for a revive – shoutout to Mr. Robert Kingsley for the code fix for this

First day…
solo legendary.

I habe 3 days, 11 hours, 58 minutes on it so far.

I did, didn’t even know you could skip the three wardens when I did it.

Those three Wardens were making me lose my will to campaign :frowning:
I eventually beat them, and that was before I learned about the easy way to skip the fight.

Did it solo and without skipping the three warden fight before the update.

Did it around 2 weeks after release, yes i skipped the 3 wardens lol
